The Dark Tower by Stephen King
is the ultimate "this ending almost ruined the entire experience for me." Actually, that's not entirely accurate since it was the last three book (out of seven) that were pretty awful. It probably didn't help that I read all them in a summer. It was a little said to skip to pinpoint

Nabin's book
sounds Klosterman-esque. I mean that as as compliment though. I'll buy the shit out of this.

Log Cabin Democratics???
Are those the GHEYS???

That seems a little naive…
to believe that someone thought this was a story worth telling. Essentially the third "sequel" to Hollywood blockbuster that last time ended up in the hands of Bret Ratner?

psh, yeah…
more like LAME Cook!

I'm blanking out right now…
What is the sample on that College song?

Hypocrisy
Rapper's are held to a different standard when it's comes to this sort of thing. Case in point: I often half-jokingly say that I miss the old, racist Ice Cube of the Death Certificate and Amerikkka's Most Wanted era. Then let's take 2Pac who I grew up listening to, back when he actually seemed dangerous

WORST EPISODE EVER WRITTEN
Okay, that's probably not true but I had some problems, particularly the awfulness that was this exchange:

I posted the same comment above before I saw yours. I think someone should record a re-mix album where the only vocals are the rambling readings of Daniel Faraday. I'd much rather listen to that.

The lead singer
looks like Daniel Farraday.

Are you lonely?

I haven't seen anything by this guy yet…
but I kind of want to watch all of his stuff. And reading this made me want to a bit more. He seems unusually honest and I tend to like the mix of low brow and high brow.

Getting into the Beatles…
specifically the White Album.

I can see why someone would be annoyed by JL's comment except for the fact that it's totally true. I thought it was a pretty good insight. But I disagree that Vs. is all power chords and low end. WMA, Daughter, the last song (can't remember the name)…all out of the cock rock comfort zong.

Ok pretty good trailer…
Judging by Spike Jonze being the director, I would say they are pandering to….

They are both really solid albums with basically no weak tracks but the singles from Ten were just played so often on the radio and MTV that I now have a gag reflex and my ears start to bleed when I hear them. With Vs, they refused to make videos, which helped. Therefore, as an overall listen from start to finish,

Vs.
Is probably better.

Exile in Guyville
This a great article. I had a similar experience with Exile in Guyville. In 2005, I was a couple of years out of college and weirdly, I was in a work situation that sounds somewhat similar to Tasha's. On top of that, it wasn't a great job to begin with and I felt like I was doing absolutely
