Hmm… I think you guys are using the word "richly" incorrectly.

I agree. Normally my homophobia meter is somewhat forgiving, but seeing Daryl basically announce "It's ok to show open disgust about gayness in front of your gay friend, but you don't want it on the public record," really gave me a bad feeling.

Speaking as a representative Gay, the opening sketch's use of the word wasn't pejorative, it was descriptive.

The best part was when Jack hid some pills in Kaylie's jellybeans to get her to forget to send her Pop-pop a birthday card.

That show is still on??

All hail the mighty truck farmer!

Christ that was terrible for an episode of P&R! When you say the show has reached its "I need a haircut" moment, you're right—but it's not a compliment. Despite how winningly the cast tried to amp up the material, this episode was just a formulaic series of cutesy moments that aren't funny and are also not smartly

Hmm. I didn't hate this episode, but I'm pretty sure it's my least favorite of the entire series. For me the jokes just didn't land, mostly from being less clever and more obvious than the usual Archer style.  I expect better from this show.  I'll be surprised (based on regression to the mean) if I don't enjoy part 2

"You soloed me" made me laugh out louder and longer than anything I've seen on TV in years.  Something about the context and Fey's delivery just got me perfectly.

I'm surprised not to see anything in the write-up or comments about how it seemed like Ben had been drinking too (when they arrived for the interview).  I thought that was a nice, subtle touch.

"…(come to think, 'suddenly, randomly' could be a description of three-quarters of the behavior on the show)"

Though I differ with Leslie on the attractiveness of our vice president, a sexy elf-king with a slight, powerful body is exactly what I crave. Naturally, this episode resonated with me for that reason.

I have to agree.  I love this show, but this was the worst episode to date.

I agree with the other commenters:  it really rubs me the wrong way when you interrupt your review of one episode to trash episodes that haven't aired yet.  It feels like you're trying to sabotage our experience somehow.

Yeah, it's weird when completely wrong versions of lines are singled out as noteworthy/funny enough to be quoted in the review.  And unfortunate when the completely wrong versions are not nearly as funny as the actual lines.

It seems like reviewers should be watching with closed captions so as not to misinterpret lines like that, especially on a fast-paced show like 30 Rock.

I'm a gay nerd in ordinary life, so I'm actually hypergay for Rudd.  Like, if you extruded my 3D gayness into some previously unknown 4th dimension, such that rotating my gayness for Rudd about this new axis would continuously revolve different aspects of it into your 3D perspective view, that's how gay I am for Rudd.
