Can you introduce me to the guy who played Harry, please?

Fourthed.

I don't watch the show so I can't really tell… is this satire?

I guess I have to give up wishing P&R would go back to being a bit less saccharine.  They just keep piling it on, piles of overt sentiment  every other episode or more.  I still like it watching, but it makes me less of a fan.  Even though I want Adam Scott to be my boo.

I'm chagrined to find that two of my lifestyle hacks have now been lampooned during cold opens of The Office:  I work at a standing desk and periodically take a break by sitting on an exercise ball.  I predict that next episode everyone will be mocking Dwight's vibram toe-shoes.

Total rapture that 30 Rock is coming back finally + Total indifference to a show that never failed to disappoint me the three times I tuned in = Joy at this news.

Yup, the dialogue in this show varies from "oh, I didn't notice it being that bad this time" to simply godawful.

Once again it seems like the show has resorted to coasting on the likeability of its characters.  But even the great Ron Swanson can't really turn those lazily written pronouncements about toolboxes into good moments.  Once again April and Andy came out the best in this episode; everyone else felt like spinning wheels

OK, I guess I can see some traction in that argument.  Except for the fact that she's lived decades since those traits were embedded in her, and we know cybernetic brains learn and grow.  So even if you discount the possibility that feelings and motives are real and valid regardless of whether they were programmed

1. The MomBot was programmed to die at some point, which is in complete accordance with her belief that she is going to die at some point.

self-awareness:  "conscious knowledge of one's own character, feelings, motives, and desires"

Well wait a second, here.  Are we using different meanings for "self-aware" here?  Granted it's been a while since I watched this episode and I'm not about to watch the whole thing again right now, so you could be right, but…  Are you just saying she wasn't aware of herself being an android?  That's an absolutely

I loved "Inheritance," and I suspect this difference of opinion is driven by two factors:

I'm glad it got renewed, but I have to say I've been pretty disappointed with it based on the expectations that it might be in the same comedy realm as Childrens Hospital.  Maybe it will find its footing in a second season.

What on earth is up with "tony" lately?  After having observed the word only in Scrabble games for years, over the past week I have now read it three times.

Well yes, obviously the reviewer and I disagreed!  And I just explained exactly what I meant by "automatically."  You just re-asked me the same question without seeming to have read my answer.  I do find it an interesting question, however, because I hadn't thought about these different (and apparently ambiguously

Well, I didn't mean that the *show* was given a grade automatically, but rather this one episode—which I tried to make clear in how I wrote it ("…on a single Thursday evening").

Also, the narration on AD was never ever unfocused.  I can't stress that enough.

You're the second person here whom I've seen mention something about "Whitney." Is that like a TV show?

Luckily, the vast majority of people who believe this is literally true are too dumb to make enough money for their income tax revenue to be remotely significant to the government whose infrastructure they are entirely dependent on.
