It's heart-healthy!

Fucking warp bubbles, man, how do they work?

OK, fine, I'll spell it out. Lore moves and processes every bit as fast as Data (and actually, Bad Horse, we know from episodes like Naked Now that they do move much faster than humans can). All he needs to do is be briefly out of Data's immediate field of vision (Data can't react to something he can't see, and Lore

hmph.
Why is it so hard to make a good TV show?

I agree with the review that the dialogue was laughable. Especially something about the way the gang leader said "encountered."

Yay, insomnia: just absent-mindedly put this episode on. Still as fun as I remember.

Stanley's line—and delivery—was the funniest part of the episode. And it was revelatory. I want a lighthouse!

I think my alma mater is in contention for best shout-out ever, from the Simpsons episode when Lisa daydreamed she failed a quiz and would have to go to Brown.

Zack, it's interesting to me that you were displeased by the "missing scenes" of Lore disabling Data—sort of like how (if I remember right) you had minor misgivings about the Wolf 359 massacre happening off-screen, which you forgave based on budget limitations. I think in both those

I was turned around on the whole franchise by watching the third one, Prisoner of Azkaban. I'd recommend that or the fifth, Order of the Phoenix.

i know it's apocalooza, but c'mon…
It bugs me when characters act super stupid irrational, even if they're kinda shell-shocked by the zombie future. Glenn's childish fixation on the sports car and obliviousness to its alarm strike me as completely unrealistic as well as unsympathetic. It endeared him even less to me

Erin never had a father figure because…
…in the orphanage, her hair was her room.

Me too, totally! Soooooo creepy.

I don't think "staccato" means what you think it does!

Look, we were all disgusted by Teapot Dome, but it's time to move on.

Stray observations:
"Ambition is the willingness to kill the things you love and eat them in order to stay alive. Haven't you ever read my throw pillow?"

@muic, I think you might enjoy watching shows more if you approached them more as an entertainment-seeking viewer and less as a therapist for the characters on the tv.

But wait… what episode did I watch tonight? Didn't you say the episodes are supposed to be good by now? Because I almost couldn't finish it, despite really wanting to give it a chance. I know it's all very subjective, but I watched several of the first episodes, and in addition to not making me laugh, they also

The hormone thing was overdone, yes. But I like the Avery character. Her shark-like traits are kinda perfect for Jack, and pretty funny in my opinion. It gave Liz a great opportunity in the season opener how great it is that Jack sees their relationship as a very romantic war.

In some long-ago episode, Liz actually mentioned that it's great having parents who were on the old side when you were born. I don't remember why it's great, but I'm pretty sure she said it.
