I don't get scared reading books and don't really seek to be scared. But I am a Ray Bradbury fan (controversial I know) and he has one horror short story sort of just thrown in the mix called "The Trapdoor" and it put my hair on end.

I think it is funny that the AV Club's grade for Taken 2 (C) is better than the grade it gave to Taken (C-). It is almost as if the reviewer of the first movie didn't realize that people would really like it. So I guess they are making up for it by giving the (most likely inferior) sequel a better grade than it…

It was interesting as a Christian watching Tree of Life with my humanist twin brother. But all too often we are willing to forgive a movies weaknesses if it supports pre-existing prejudices just like some people focus on Bible verses that support what they already believe and ignore the rest.
That is a thoughtful response both for it's insight into faith and it's sensitivity to those with with learning disabilities.
