While it would have made more sense if Earn had called the restaurant ahead of time, I still felt bad for him. Whether Van was playing dumb or calling his bluff, that's a humiliating experience. Once "market price" was uttered, he was screwed. Although I'm not even sure how the meal was paid. They put the card

Same here. I feel like we got spoiled with the hour long episodes last week.

I loved that Earn was still shushing the employee as he basically tiptoed out the door.

Thanks, I couldn't remember if we met him or not.

The fact that the parking lot "valet" actually came in the restaurant to let the guy know that his car was being towed was priceless.

The tonal shifts in this show are really well done. It goes from jokey to depressing and it doesn't throw you out of the scene.

I love Darius' moments of clarity. He's clearly in his own world, but he's also one of the smartest people on the show.

Considering how he was panicking and yelling "Shit, shit, shit, shit" as he ran off, he would have gotten shot anyway.

You could tell that scene with Percy wasn't going to end well. Dude was just too calm telling him to run away.

Yeah, they're just gross now. The spiders, now the creepy mouth. Ugh. They should just stick with the promos for Better Things.

The look on the waiter's face after he said "Don't let me down, I don't know what I'll do" was chilling. Alfred looked nervous.

Yeah, I think she tried to blackmail Jane and when Jane called her on it, the woman snapped that Jane was being a bigot.

Back from the dead…and he still won't pay child support! Undead deadbeat dads, on the next Sick Sad World!

I don't know about them continuing it without Ben Bocquelet. The show is his brainchild and it sounds like he and Mic Graves are responsible for a lot of the absurdist humor that makes Gumball work.

Helen knew Daria a lot more than she thought. Daria was surprised that Helen understood her writing and that Daria wrote what she saw, rather than what she wanted to see.

I had that monologue memorized. It's one of Helen's best moments.

My pores are cute! My pores are tiny!

If they lose Mary then they're really screwed. Paul is a good judge but Mary is the heart of the show.

The show was already losing me, but that just felt like they were spinning in circles. It was great to see Lip take charge of his education, but that affair was a joke. And wasn't her husband cool with it? Ugh, who cares.
