That whole scene is delightfully parodied in Not Another Teen Movie.

Good catch! Forgot that bit.

Yeah, Embry and Jennifer Love Hewitt aren't the reason to watch CHW. Just a ridiculous amount of supporting characters. In addition to the ones you mentioned, there was the Love Burger band, the drunk girl who only spoke gibberish, stoned girl holding a banana in half the shots…and they barely had any lines.

Wow, I feel old because I remember Duvall in most of these roles. Always liked her, and loving her role in VEEP. But I'm a Cheerleader is probably her best work, and the ending is so sweet.

Sif is interested, but it's completely one-sided. Thor's been in four films now and still sees her as a friend and nothing more. Hell, even Odin was pushing him to ask her out in TDW and Thor was like "Eh, no thanks."

That's interesting, because I was wondering what had changed. I'm not really impressed with the gymnastics this year. The skill these women have is apparent, but there's no real artistry in it. There's so much focus on getting height and sticking the landing, any time one of the gymnasts try to "dance" it looks

I was stunned when I learned that Shang Chunsong (one of the Chinese gymnasts) is 20 years old, because I thought she was twelve, at the very oldest. But she suffered from malnutrition as a child, and that, along with the rigors of gymnastics, has severely stunted her growth.

I enjoy the Thor movies, but the writers really dropped the ball on that part. Thor/Sif are canon, but none of the directors have laid the groundwork for them to hook up. There's no "will they/won't they" because Thor has shown zero romantic interest in her. Hell, the first movie just has a very brief sad glance

Stellan Skarsgaard isn't returning, so it's unlikely that Dennings will return, either.

Yeah, it was announced a few days ago that the Warriors 3 will be there, and they were spotted on the set.

I'll give Portman credit; she's working really hard to get more women behind the camera. One reason JGaG went south was because Lynne Ramsay dropped out.

She's competing with younger actresses, for one. Way too many actors than roles. The Thor movies are the biggest films she's done since winning the Oscar, and she just confirmed that she's definitely out of the franchise.

Yeah, it's fine for one of those "Watch when nothing else is on" movies. It played a lot on USA for that very reason.

It was OK, but not great. Nowhere near what "The Origins" did, and the twist was pretty easy to figure out. It was foreshadowed in "The Night".

Yo, Bartender! Jobu needs a refill!

Good point about Mac's character. Forgot he was killed off.

I know what you mean. I am beyond happy for Biles, but she was considered the greatest before she even arrived in Rio. Manuel's win just came out of nowhere. Nobody was checking for her, and she got a gold. Amazing moment.

For me it was that Underworld track during the detox scene. Incredible.

I think they still are with their "90s are All That" block. They even aired Ren & Stimpy occasionally, but never Rocko.

Kind of. Is it Fall Yet? was a season finale, and Is it College Yet? served as the series finale. I still haven't seen all of the latter, but the show was going south at the time, so I really didn't want to.
