I agree! He's one of those character actors who just elevates whatever role he's given, no matter how small or insignificant. His best performance in my opinion was in Prison Break and easily one of the best parts of that show, flawed as it may be… It was fun, damnit!

No, do not bear that in mind: I'm glad i watched S1 since they do reference what happened there a lot in the later seasons. You gain knowledge about the world and characters which is needed later. Just watch it as a B-level horror TV show and you'll enjoy it fine.

Agreed. I recently started watching Buffy on Netflix and while Season 1 isn't a work of art or anything, it's still pretty good on a B-horror movie sort of level.
