If you include people (and John Wayne) as animals, close to half the cast/crew of The Conqueror got cancer (and died) from filming downwind of a nuclear testing site (and then taking the contaminated soil back to Hollywood to continue shooting).

Surprised Nosferatu didn't make it on there. Herzog didn't like that the rats he had weren't white, so he dyed them by boiling them in hot water, killing half of them in the process.

Not attempting a firstie; just want to congratulate Les for becoming the newest writer at the TV Club!

Glad to hear you're going to be covering this series (at least for a while). What do you guys think of the shorts that are included with the Marvel block?

I'm probably the only one here, but Fienberg is actually what makes me love Firewall and Iceberg. He makes a good contrast with Alan; while Alan can be optimistic (and sometimes ; he's a realist about what's actually popular, but has also found good in some shows that normally wouldn't get positive coverage, something

Yeah. Will be interesting to see if this is the only comedy that makes the Jolie joke or if Community will also find a way to fit one in.

It probably wasn't, but was Berger played by the same guy that does Inspector Spacetime?

Personally I prefer ads for grape drinks, but that's probably because I'm a fan of graping little children in the mouth.

Or maybe some of the critics who disliked the show as it went on just didn't bother reviewing the second season premier?

I like that the copyright for the photo is from 2010.

Aww, how has no one here made a Wayne's World joke yet?

Yeah. He's grown a lot since then.

Were those actually members of Derrick Comedy in the background?

Dudemeister? He'll always be Ethan from Passions to me!

This should be episode 20; last week was listed as 19.

What Jay said. It doesn't matter how Whitney rates compared to other shows; what matters if it's doing better than other NBC shows. I know it's a TVBTN-view of things, but with this, I think they're 100% right.

Have any of you read Phonogram? It's a brilliant comic about britpop (with a TON of well done references) with the premise that music is literally magic. The second mini-series is a lot more varied, but the first volume is where 90% of my knowledge of britpop comes from (the issues, and hopefully trades, had eight-ten

Anyone watching WWE Raw tonight? Last episode before Wrestlemania!

I think it's more ethnic Jackass (they even have the same production studio) than ethnic Tim and Eric, but I definitely see where you're coming from.

It's Count African Americula, not Blacula.
