These movies seem to take themselves much too seriously. Not saying that superhero stuff can't be serious, but the quality and actual substance is just… not there (imo, of course). I'd much take an average "fun" movie anyday over "look we made superman ~~adult~~ by stuffing a gray filter on everything and removed

:re more interesting than any MCU villain - are you counting Wilson Fisk in this?

This is what crossed my mind when people mentioned Hannibal on Netflix.
Fisk could join Hannibal on one if his cooking to classical music sequences!
Thing is though, is it just me that finds Will and Matt sort of similar looking and very similar sounding?

It reminds me too much of the black widow SNL parody. I think a lot of that was the trailer music.

I agree that some people take stuff like the marvel movies too "seriously" and greatly inflate their importance and quality, but is there anything wrong with adults enjoying comic book movies "meant for kids"? They're family movies that people of all ages enjoy.

I heard a theory that the series could be getting progress getting progressively lighter and more "comic-book" along the line of the mystical elements (the hand?) the "Stick" episode of DD alluded to, leading up to Iron Fist (the last show) being full on mystical/fantasy.
Though from what I know about the source

>Marvel is mediocre sometimes but is always fun.

Yes, I liked that a lot. I know Foggy has his haters, but I loved him. The Foggy/Karen/Matt dynamic and their scenes were some of my favourite things about the show - they added some heart and levity to the show and actually made me care about the characters.
The villains had their fun too - at least for the audience

I think comic books transfer a lot better to TV as a whole. I like a lot of the MCU movies, but both Daredevil and The Flash (while completely different animals) are easily my favourite comic book related properties.

As a "woman of colour" I really hate the term too, and I hate that it's basically been accepted as the proper/non-"offensive" term.

I watched season one, but not two yet - is two still worth watching? I liked season one, but I wouldn't really mind leaving it at that.

I don't mind the cliche itself, especially from a show like The Flash, but the problem was I don't buy Barry/Iris. Iris is horribly written, I'm half convinced the writers are setting her up to be the end villain and making us hate her on purpose.
Reminds me a lot of Lana Lang from Smallville actually.

I don't think people are hating all things DC because they're DC - the Flash TV show is liked around here. If it's good, great, but most of what I've seen looks bad to me.
But then, I thought Man of Steel looked promising from the trailers, so this could just go in the opposite direction.

The thing is, from what I've seen on most websites/forums (not here), they've been getting a good reception - I feel like I'm going crazy in thinking it looks bad, especially the BvS trailer.
It's probably just that people want it to be good? But then again, there are plenty of people who absolutely loved Man of Steel

Yeah, it went so quickly from "what the hell is going on am I still watching Mad Men" to one of the funniest moments.

It was like watching the characters have their souls sucked out by McCann. I wonder how Pete's holding up.
Roger and Peggy scenes were so much fun though, so that balanced it a bit.

Roger passing the tentacle hentai painting on to Peggy of all people was one of my favourite things to happen in Mad Men ever. I hope we see it hanging in her office.

:(
In my defence, I did really want to like Nolan's films, they just didn't click at all with me.

Yep, I really hated MoS and everything I've seen for BvS looks awful, but The Flash is one of my favourite currently airing shows, in all its CW-ness.

Obligatory mention of Bastion end: https://www.youtube.com/wat…
Seriously though, all the music in that game is so damn good, probably a big part of why I've played it 3 times through.
