I forget how ridiculous this comment section is sometimes.

Yeah, that's basically what I was trying to say. I wish more people understood this because some seem to take it as a personal slight when something bad is said about their favourite characters

Well, blaming the characters is the same as blaming the people writing them, isn't it?
Unless they're MEANT to come off that way, which clearly wasn't the case here.

Yeah, I was wondering if I just misunderstood that part. Seems like a stupid move by the writers, because they clearly wanted her to come off as the hero.

Plus, he was pitted aginst Ramsey, who seems to make his opponents IQ drop be 50 on this show.
Jon has no chance from the start

I'm not denying that - and I'm not saying there's even anything she did objectively wrong or badly (though telling Jon about the Vale might have helped…). It's just how I feel.

I know this won't be popular here, but did anyone find Sansa annoying this episode? I WANT to like her, I just don't.

Does he think R+L is a case of misdirection or something like that?

Miyazaki's "Harry Potter"
God no, Harry Potter needed far more time not less. I always thought the books were FAR more suited to a TV series.

I think it does that with new comments that pop up after you've loaded the page.

The amount of times I've seen defences of this movie amount to blaming Marvel is hilariously pathetic.

Glad to see I'm not the only one who immediately thought of that panel.

This.
I agree it's stupid to pit the two shows against eachother, just because they're female-led superheroes shows, they're just too different - it's like comparing The Flash and Daredevil, another two different shows trying to do completely different things.
But feminist themes is something they both have in common,

"oh shit, telling a woman to smile is really fucking creepy".

Oh God don't remind me of his "it's sexist that a woman was distraught over killing someone" review. I don't mind Oliver, but that was bizarre.

Yeah, that's what I thought too.
And while she's a horrible person, I'm enjoying her character so far.

I've only seen the pilot of Supergirl so far (has it gotten better?) but I know what you mean - I'm a woman and I don't mind being pandered to occasionally (well, mainly in terms of hot men doing sexy things), but there were some pretty cringey attempts at "feminism".
The "what's wrong with being a girl" thing from her

Just curious, have you read Alias?

Haha same.

In the comics, I believe he has "purple children" that are his biological offspring and have his powers, so I think there it's in his genes.
