Thank goodness
I had "Sister Savior" stuck in my head all weekend.

Humor us, A.V. Club? The Best Show conundrum comes up in every Podmass (which I am enjoying very much, by the way) discussion, it seems.
I get that it's not necessarily a true podcast and there's probably not enough else out there to merit a Radio heading on the homepage. But, is there perhaps any room for an…
I had no idea what was happening or why when I watched that clip. Please don't explain it to me.
I'm all bummed out now from reading about the Jeff Buckley biopic. Anyone else wanna talk about this week's show? The whole thing with Wally Wackiman and the Fredericks clips was so gimmicky, but I laughed sooo hard.
This might make me sound like a total simpleton, but I had a really hard time starting TBS too, I…
If Glenn Howerton were not Glenn Howerton from It's Always Sunny, I would totally agree with you. I'm going to think about that.
I'm not sure how I feel about this whole thing, but ugh I am sick of Hallelujah.
Also, when he gets annoyed that David Rasche would even suggest calling in the FBI to investigate that body that turns up (you'll find no spoilers here).
I love Burn After Reading, but were it not for him, I would have merely liked it. Thanks for giving ample attention to this role!
And, another vote for the return of Random Rules. Let it live on in memory of my dearly departed Silver Jews.
I think maybe Supertramp was just scary. I was terrified of "Take The Long Way Home" because I thought if you didn't, you'd get murdered by maybe a werewolf or something. My only concept of shortcuts was through the woods behind school, and that seemed like prime murder territory anyway.
My Best Friend's Wedding
Not sure if this counts, as the main character (spoiler alert) rightfully does not end up with the dude, but Julia Roberts in My Best Friend's Wedding isn't just shallow like Bridget Jones, she's a straight-up sociopathic b. Rupert Everett should have dropped her, too. We should have seen her…
Yay!
A capella Ghostbusters, we are busting ghosts all day-ay… A capella Ghostbusters … bustin' ghosts all day!
Oh, thank you! I had forgotten about this.
If you've seen that VH1 "Seven Ages of Rock: Britpop" doc, they give Suede some of the due I agree they deserve. I recommend that series, especially the one about the art rock years until about halfway through when it goes all Pink Floyd.
Veruca Salt was Letters to Cleo-level annoying to me. Someone mentioned the Verve and I'll say that "Urban Hymns" is maybe my favorite from that era. Still love it.
Yeah, I have that Oasis: Unplugged on VHS still. Noel plays, Liam taunts from the balcony. That I could live with. What I could not deal with was driving 4 hours to Charlotte and being turned back from the Coliseum because the brothers had fought in the Charlotte airport and then boarded separate planes and flown…
Wait, it was "Duet," singular.
Can this be the place for Forgotten Favorites from the 80s? I like Duets and Day by Day, and there was this thing called Double Trouble about some twins or something, I think they were later the Wakefields on that Sweet Valley High show.
Fingers crossed hard for him to realize finally the massive fame he deserves, but also his no-"h" comedy brethren, Glaser and Wurster. Related note: My most anticipated entertainment of 2011 is probably my 2010 Best Show DVD.
Also, I can't wait for season 2 of "Louie," and watching my co-worker's Twilight Zone DVDs…
Revisions
You absolutely should start with Al B. Sure— "Off On Your Own (Girl)" is the quintessential new jack swing song and this list is missing other greats, such as Aaron Hall's "Don't Be Afraid," which— just don't listen to the lyrics.
"Groove Me" is a better song than that "Merry Go Round of Love" thing, and so…
My birthday's coming up, and it's the one where the veydic grunt is supposed to kick in (fingers crossed).
This is all fine and good, but…
Happy 40th, Noel Murray!
