Richie Alpert, I like the Orioles idea. Especially because it ties in so neatly to the idea of rot from the top.

I'll second the idea that the whole "JFK would have gotten out of Vietnam" was revisionist nonsense. There is nothing in Kennedy's background that would have suggested he would have done that. He went into Cuba, he increased our commitment to Vietnam, he even appointed a weak Secretary of State (Rusk wasn't exactly…
Hartman was definitely an All-time great cast member and I'd argue that if you had start the show with any SNL cast member at their peaks he might be your top pick. He could do anything from carry a sketch (Unfrozen Caveman Lawyer) to be an amazing straight man.
Yeah I figured it out as soon as Lily got sick and mostly predicted the rest of their plot from then on, but I have to say it was handled much better than I expected. Marshall's outburst really sold their entire storyline and elevated what would have otherwise been pretty cliched and generic.
Odd omission
I really thought this was incredibly well done but there was one omission that just struck me as odd.
Toby being on the Jury actually did need to happen - it was the excuse to get Holly back into the office.
I'll jump on this bandwagon as well. I certainly don't think it was a very good show, but it was tolerable and I knew a lot of people who seemed to like it the first half of the season (back when people were watching it).
I'm sure I missed it earlier…
but Animal Insticts from Forgetting Sarah Marshall.
I'll second both of those. My one Geronimo Jackson song (the stellar Dharma Lady) isn't nearly enough and I'm kind of amazed no one's tried to make Expose yet - I mean Billy Dee needs work!
Amazing character moment
I thought this was a pretty strong episode, maybe the funniest of the season, that I will agree petered out way too much at the end.
Idiotking,
That's it
I've got to start watching this show.
Curious
So if this movie is about the Spanish Civil War, and the Communists are apparently the bad guys, does that mean that the perfect saint Opus Dei founder is, um, Pro-Franco? (Francisco not James).
Perfect casting
Words can't describe how excited I am about Tommy Lee Jones playing Thaddeus Stevens. I smell spin-off!!!
I'm gonna guess Holbrook is playing Salmon P. Chase. Because I'm a nerd.
As someone who has done campaign work Carcetti's "I hate it, I hate it, I FUCKIN' hate it!" about doing call time is pitch perfect.
Also…
Jambroni.
The "Guys will like it, honest!" ad campaign
I have to say I really enjoyed the absurdity of the ads that ran during baseball and basketball games that made this movie look it was about all the wacky adventures Jim from the Office has with his lady friends.
By comeback, I meant callback. At least my initial comment was gritty.
