David Eckstein
Did anyone else catch the amazing FJM comeback in the line about how things that are described as having heart generally suck? Lil' Davey Eckstein popped right into my head. Well done Ken Tremendous.

That menu also has whole wheat biscuits on it. I'm all for healthy eating but seriously, what the fuck?

I wholeheartedly endorse an A+ for the Chinese restaurant.

I tend to agree with the Modern Family reviews but I think the HIMYM reviews tend to be way too generous these days. This was probably my favorite episode of the year and I'd give it a B+ or an A-.

I hate to gripe about grades…
but if the A+ exists than it has to go to these two episodes right? I mean this is pretty much Seinfeldian perfection.

I think that when this show is on, its really on, but even a mediocre Modern Family will get a few good laughs. What I'm trying to say is that I would rather watch a "C" Modern Family than a "C" HIMYM but an "A" HIMYM is better than "A" Modern Family.

Robin's secret crush
That wasn't just some guy Robin had a secret crush on, it was resistance leader and C-Buc Sam Anders! We know Robin loves hockey, how does she feel about Pyramid?

Even better what if you could put the Indian wrap, with this so called Nan, IN A DIPPING SAUCE!

I'm already starting to hear people say that the people who made the movie were liberals who intentionally made it bad to reduce interest in Ayn Rand. Honestly.

It's gonna be a secret!

I don't like Mad Love, and yet I keep watching it week after week because it's got a great cast (they've had Martin Starr and Chris Parnell as multi-episode guest stars) and it just feels like it should be funny. Sadly it isn't, yet.

Wait a minute
What's Stamos doing in a non-Beach Boys video. Doesn't he have any respect for Kokomo!

Can I play the piano anymore?

Sinners and Saints
Am I the only one who just never got the idea of this place? The judges kept talking about what an interesting concept it was I never understood it. Who was the target audience exactly? Fat people who liked to feel bad about themselves? Healthy eaters who liked to tempt themselves? Why not just go

I'll second the diet coke sounding like a terrible idea but this episode was a reminder that Krystal and Greg could still wind up being a force to be reckoned with. As annoying and condescending as they are if the food is done well it's a pretty solid concept.

Well now I feel like a giant asshole since I just saw that THE Eric Patterson is an AV Clubber. (I suppose this is why you should read the whole thread before posting). Those time restrictions sound fairly terrible.

Yeah I was amazed he didn't use a tomato basil dipping sauce or something. I always have tomato soup if I make a grilled cheese. That's what I assumed Flay kept yammering on about. The fact that he just kind of threw up his hands and said, "Shit, what do they have at McDonald's" sums up why he's going home.

As a fan of a mid-major that routinely gets beaten in the first round I'm going to have to call bullshit. Every team does not always get featured in One Shining Moment. Sorry about your Jayhawks though.

Since no one like Billy Packer I'm gonna have to call troll.

What Lemur said. The NBA has incredibly skilled athletes but that Carter, McGrady, Stackhouse, generation where the teams star just jacked up 30 shots a night in a quest to get the biggest shoe deal did an unbelievable amount of damage to the league.
