Fallon is a throwback to pre-modern comedy, and I mean that in the most negative way. There is no edge. No matter how awful or stupid one of his guests has been, he/she knows that Fallon will always use kid gloves. He does wacky games that I swear are stolen from junior high youth ministers, and America loves him

Still hard for me to get past how bad/annoying he was on Parks and Recreation.

Bulleit isn't really much more expensive than Evan Williams around me.

Asian countries did have extensive trade with Arabs before the 18th century, and there was a massive (at least 10 million) Indian Ocean slave trade at Arab controlled ports like Zanzibar and Muscat. I doubt 19th century British opium merchants explained slavery in the Americas to China.

While I wish the major networks would show more of the conventions, I can understand why they don't. Since 72 (or maybe 80 if we are being generous) both parties' conventions have been scripted and devoid of any real drama. I appreciated how Mark Shields was pretty laid back about the Bernie protestors. He was

MLK, Batman, Superman, and Hank Williams have all been by portrayed by British actors in recent films. While American women keep getting cast, I honestly think Hollywood is biased in favor of non-American actors.

Yeah, Wu is really making it seem like Matt Damon is at fault and the creators have no agency.

Warcraft, which looked awful, made 47 million dollars domestically and 385 million overseas. Most animated and action movies nowadays are expected to make as much overseas as domestically.

More importantly, you should hope it does well overseas. Nowadays most Marvel blockbusters make a lot of their money in big foreign markets like China, and I think studios have tried to claim that mostly black films don't sell well overseas.

I loved the book too, but really don't think Chenoweth is the best casting choice. Easter is portrayed as tall, full-figured, and seductive.

Vice circa 2004 could be mean as hell, but was so much funnier than its current form.

That is a stunningly accurate description. About two years before she moved to a Brentwood mansion she bitterly complained about how Brooklyn had gotten too safe and wasn't rough enough anymore.

I think you are forgetting how bad most white people music was from 1995-1999 (excluding Beck, Radiohead, and a few other artists). There has been some pretty solid white people music recently, but it is not at all popular.

You literally just compared him to someone who eulogized Hitler. Netanyahu is awful, but it is fucking ridiculous and offensive as hell to compare Israel to Nazi Germany.

If it is just a straw man argument how would you explain that UN human rights commission is constantly censoring Israel while human rights abuses in Yemen, Saudi Arabia, Russia, and Syria get completely ignored by the UN?

Anti-Semitism is that bizarre nexus point where the Breitbart crowd meets up with some of the Guardian crowd. They are polar opposites, but they somehow agree that Israel should not exist, Jews control the media, and rich Jewish lobbyists control the government.

How dare a country surrounded by brutal dictatorships that swear to destroy it acquire nuclear weapons!

There are lots of people who make legitimate criticisms of Netanyahu, west bank settlements, etc. I find there are far fewer people who don't believe in Israel's right to exist but are free of anti-semitism and or hypocrisy (especially if they are Americans, Canadians, or Australians).

I was wondering how many comments it would be until a jackass tried to involve Israel, but was hoping it would have taken more than three.

Appropriately enough, Wheaton has truly embraced the neckbeard look.
