I think Andy Richter is actively sucking the life out of Conan.  Like, I seriously enjoyed Andy Richter Controls The Universe, and I wish the man no ill will.  But for me personally, the episodes of Late Night without him are markedly better than the episodes with him, as well as Conan's version of the Tonight Show,

I know, right?  I think it's kind of strange that despite never having seen the show, the internet has pretty much taught me everything I need to know about Downton Abbey.

Yeah, I see no problems with mocking cable news, but when there's actual stuff to mock in the news, whatever bullshit is falling out of Bill O'Reilly's mouth should fall to the back burner, in my eyes at least.  Stewart mocks actual events too, but it seems like he only goes after easy targets that give the easiest

@avclub-f121d09285898f1c66d66f1e6f0455a6:disqus , really?  I'll argue the exact opposite.  6 wrapped up most of the plots, mostly successfully.  5 had great character moments, but just piled more shit on to the "Unsolved Mystery" cart that was just there for the hell of it.

@avclub-b327ac90601ec5904ca8e539cba62638:disqus , it's pretty easy to tell what he saw.  I mean, have you seen Maggie Grace?

Really?  I watched that movie with my college's Atheist Club, and even most of them thought it was too pretentious.  And I'm pretty sure College Atheist Clubs are the most pretentious places on Earth.

Definitely.  A great deal of reviews, both here on the AV Club and on other sites, have been chock full of comments that nitpick and search for any perceived flaw in the show.  Too many people are looking for reasons to jump ship when there hasn't even really been a hull breach.  I certainly think the show is a little

@avclub-dcc2ff10ec33aeb5da8ef76fadf60e28:disqus BB could go last, however there are several episodes of Justice League that make reference to future developments in Batman Beyond assuming the viewer will know the references.  Really, the review order could go either way and work.

I don't think he said anything official, but really, S:TAS is kind of important in setting up the Cadmus arc.  At least the last couple of episodes are, as Darkseid's introduction and Superman's turn to evil at the end lead to the people of Earth's growing distrust of Superman and thus the impetus for Cadmus' creation.

"Batman is not Superman: He should not be able to fly unless he is being
carried or inside a plane. But Jetpack Batman is going to sell some
action figures, so we have to endure his presence on this series."

I liked it too.  It seems like there's a real "doom and gloom" atmosphere hanging around this show just because Dan Harmon left.  It's not the greatest episode of Community ever, because it seems like over the extreme hiatus, everybody's expectations got hyper-inflated.  Hopefully, once the initial hype of the show's

Well, that part about Two Broke Girls is probably sadly right. The first part is just mean.

@avclub-3be42d8a3412057f79af152555e39bd4:disqus , that would require me to watch Chelsea Lately, and I'm not sure that's I can bring myself to do.

I say any show that takes a hard stance on religion, even if it's one I disagree with, should "get points", if only for making a ballsy move in a TV landscape that doesn't like to talk about religion.  Like Thurm said, usually most network television where a character visits heaven ends on a wishy-washy "maybe it was

Seth MacFarlaneBrian from Family Guy is almost annoyingly atheist.

True enough, but these characters live in a plugged in nerd pop-culture bubble.  They frequent message boards pertaining to nerd culture.  Sure, they may have been reading about Batman comics, but whatever, these things always bleed over.  You could hardly use the internet and avoid "DUMBLEDORE DIES!" in 2005.  It was

I kind of agree and disagree with what you're saying here.  I don't think left leaning folks take jokes about themselves any better than right leaning folks do, but perhaps because there are more batshit right-wing people ripe for satire in the media today, we don't see as many jokes about hippies (and thus their

*long drag*

I don't know, he didn't mention not owning a TV, so it could definitely be more hipster-ish.

My God, I can't even imagine a world where fictional universes are in fact fictional!  Tell me more about this magical place.
