I'm not dissing his work, I'm curious as to why he was in the movie when he did nothing.  His character showed up for approximately one scene, imparted words of wisdom to Stallone, and smoked a stupid looking pipe.  And that's it!  Put the guy in a fight scene for God's sake, there's plenty of other people to do the

Wow, this is literally the best critique of Crystal Skull I've ever read, and you encapsulated my exact feelings while using better language than I could've.  Thank you, good sir.

Both sequels were disappointing.  Although I'd say 2 was better than 3, but not by much.  But really, every time somebody mentions the sequels around me, I just want to yell "THERE WERE NO SEQUELS!"

Seconded.  I went in expecting some sort of crossbreed between classic action movies and Crank-style over-the-top…-ness (hell, Statham was even there!), but instead it was just so… meh.  I still don't know why the hell Mickey Rourke was in that movie.

I got the feeling from seeing Adam Carolla on Dancing With The Stars multiple times that he just doesn't give a damn about the quality of what he's on, so long as he can be silly and make jokes.

Celeb Apprentice just basically says "Fuck it" to the whole business-running concept and just makes it about charity.  Which is good, I guess, because hooray charities, but I do kind of wish there was a little more skill involved and not just "Who's the most famous?"

I love Don Jr. because you can just feel the sadness radiating through the TV.  He didn't want this life.  He's miserable there, stuck being the Kevin Eubanks to the Donald's Leno.  If he weren't filthy fucking rich, I get the feeling that guy would leave the business in an instant.

I think what they're saying is he's ill-fit for the talk show format as it is, but the traditional talk show formula has grown stale, so they hope his kinda manic stuff becomes the norm rather than the exception.

If Twitter goes down, he can just use Facebook.  Hell, Facebook's getting seemingly more and more Twitter-like with each new iteration of the site.  As long as social media exists, Fallon and other comedians will have plenty of material.

I don't know, I liked Ein the wonder hacker because it finally explained what a "data dog" is.  Turns out it's a dog that is really good with computers.

Did you guys even watch "Epilogue" or just get pissed off partway through and turn off the TV?  @avclub-fc83ad3d76e063f48fb8a0c5a10a4e01:disqus , the entire point is that Terry's genetics aren't important.  He's Batman not because he's genetically predisposed to dressing like a bat, but because of the happy accident

Honestly, I don't understand about 90% of what the hell is going on in any one moment in FLCL, but I love that moment when Naota "mans up".  It's such a good character moment.  I never made the connection to his emotional maturity (which is an astute observation), I just saw a kid who was tired of a girl looking down

Yeah, but his battery wasn't on the Justice Guild's Earth.  And of course, he has no problems during his other journey through time in JLU.  I don't mind powering him down, my inner nerd is just enraged that there's no in-story reason.

The closest thing I can think of is the (upcoming) episode of JL where Superman (not Bats) dies, but really goes to the future, where Vandal Savage killed the rest of the League and accidentally ended the world.

The one thing that bugged me was John's ring crapping out.  It's not like the Guardians built the Central Power Battery in the 60s, and John's been to alternate dimensions before (see: "Legends") with no ring problems.  Sure, he threw out a line about how his ring was needing a charge before the timeline shift, but he

What do you mean, invisible Hitler?  He's right there, in that ice cube!

Millar is one of those guys where you compare his early work to his recent work and just sit stunned asking what the hell happened.

Huh.  I've heard he's alright, but that's all second-hand information so maybe you're right.

The best excuse I've seen for Liefeld is that his art, while bad, is very dynamic, and it got a ton of people buying comics in the 90s, so they're attempting to make lightning strike twice.
