Except we weren't talking about "some people." We were specifically talking about depressives, for whom marijuana is contraindicated. I pointed that out and your argument was "don't smoke it then." I don't know who you are, but your dickishness is not in any way entertaining or informative.

Do I know you in real life or something? I find it very weird that suddenly you're popping up in multiple articles I'm commenting on to be obnoxious to me.

I'm sorry to hear that.

Are you having, like, an entirely different conversation from the rest of us? Obviously, "don't smoke it."

I think "How about we check back in after Episode 18" is a pretty good plan for any discussion of unresolved things in the series before we leap to calling people petty, yes.

And you're attributing maleficent motives to that rather than considering there might be a reason we're being reminded of the character's existence beyond "Lynch is petty." Much as we keep being reminded of both David Bowie's and Don Davis' characters despite their sad absence.

The problem is that pretty much everyone feels that way and then the person actually crying for help is left in a corner somewhere while everyone else signals what side they're on.

Even in the short term pot can be terrible for depressives. I can say from personal experience that while others experience calm or euphoria, someone in a depressed state can feel paranoia and self-loathing. And this is supported anecdotally by other depressives I know and have worked with and literature.

Why are you sure this is Lynch being vindictive? Many people see this as an indication that Harry Truman is going to play a significant role, with or without Ontkean being on-set.

Clearly you never watched the Shazam/Isis hour.

I think you'd see far fewer of those comments if we weren't now 13 hours into a series with the same exact people posting how they hate the show as did in Episode 1. And inevitably insinuating or flat-out insisting that those of us who love the show are posing in some way rather than being honest about our feelings.

Most two hour movies resolve their plots in ten minutes. I think Lynch and Frost are capable of doing so with five hours.

You're so right, it's much more responsible to trust the opinions of a rando on the Internet.

Finally the "Return of the Jedi" we were teased but never got!

The upshot is that if Lynch and Frost want to do it, it looks like they can.

Ironically smoking pot is one of the worst things a depressive can do. It really doesn't cure EVERYTHING.

Serious technical question: What is the memory load of Kinja vs Disqus? There are many sites I no longer visit because keeping the page open represents a serious drain on resources and I keep multiple tabs open. Is it roughly the same? Better? Worse?

You forgot the newest iteration, "Just exercise." (Thanks, Dan Savage, I never thought of that!)

Supporting the mentally ill is tough. If you interfere too much or act exasperated, you can be accused of shaming. If you do nothing you can be guilted for not taking responsibility. Some people want help, some people fight it every step of the way. I tend to think the nuance is in whether you're using your statements

I posted this elsewhere:
Welcome to 2017 and the world of social media.
Step 1: Suffer from a stigmatized condition where you're repeatedly told by some people that the only way to solve it is through openness while others tell you to keep quiet and stop being a drama queen.
Step 2: Decide to be open about it and
