They also refer to her generically as a "young woman" rather than "Norma Jennings's sister," which is odd since in Twin Peaks everyone knows Norma. I think it's very possible that this ties in with the "Secret History of Twin Peaks" and Annie has been retconned in some way.

There is a theory that Janey-E Jones is a joking reference to January Jones, given Lynch's public enjoyment of "Mad Men."

He says "Bing" according to closed-captions, who, according to the credits, was played by Riley Lynch.

I was disturbed that in a place like that they don't own a pushbroom.

^^^^ THIS ^^^^

Except he isn't BOB. And how many people need to get raped to make the same point, anyway? Surely there are other ways to traumatize Diane.

They talk repeatedly about him having "spells." He could have just been someone with major depressive issues. They come and go.

With the exception of Miguel Ferrer, all of the visibly ailing actors who were involved with the show clearly filmed remotely from the cast. Which I think is more than respectful.

I don't think any actor owes it to anyone to do work if he doesn't want to. And I suspect there is more to the story of why he isn't back than "he's retired."

It would make his always-chipper recordings to her during the original show rather sadistic, don't you think?

Keep in mind, Evil Coop looked JUST like Good Coop when he came out of the Lodge. It took him awhile to grow out his hair and start tanning.

Based on an interview Kimmy Robertson gave, I don't think it's safe to assume that "Michael Ontkean is retired from acting" is necessarily the while story.

THANK YOU

Can I just be the one and only guy here who breaks the code of silence and calls this all out for a great hoax that everyone else is participating in? I mean, there cannot possibly be any other explanation for why other people are enjoying something that I'm not unless there's some sort of conspiracy.

Because the headline, "Kyle MacLachlan in hospital for third-degree burns on his crotch" would be bad press and lead to an OSHA investigation?

I appreciate you explaining to all of us who are thoroughly enjoying this how objectively wrong we are.

I saw that, but I don't necessarily see "new" as meaning "relocated." Maybe I've just been exposed to way too many changes of management in my lifetime. Be right back, I'm going to go get a slice from Old Original Ray's Pizza.

I don't think Janey-E is "shrewish" at all. She is exasperated (justifiably) but she also demonstrates genuine care and tenderness toward Dougie. And Lynch at least took some care to explain why Mrs. Truman is outwardly displaying all the signs of BPD.

Since the the AV Club reviews are consistently similar to the community grade, are you also suggesting we're all owned by Showtime? Because if that's true, I need to speak to someone about how few nude scenes are appearing in my life these days.

So, is it really clear that this is a different trailer park than in FWWM? Because the "Secret History" book seemed to take great pains to retcon the original park as being just outside of Twin Peaks, even though geographically that is a stretch.
