This was the same city that almost elected Moira 'I Blew Up Most of My Constituents, But Swimming Pools Shall Save Us' Queen as Mayor so their track record, isn't great.

You can really tell when Amell's not around. It leaves a real presence for the weaker actors to bounce off and makes some of the more extreme elements a harder sell.
YAY to the reviews being back if only so I don't have to deal with forum threads full of Delena vs Stelena stuff on other sites.
It's hard to come back from a month off, after that epic ending and hit the ground at the same pace, but I enjoyed the things put into motion on this episode none the less.
In the show and Laurel's defense (that feels weird to even say), she suited up but really relied heavily the Canary Cry to get the jump on the two guys. She kicked one and smacked the other with the staff, not out of the realm of her developing Ted skills. No one fought back or required much effort so until I see her…
It's okay so far, but waiting for it dig in. Like a lot of the CW shows that have potential, I'm hoping it just takes half a season or so to actually click.
I, like most people including Carrie was angered by the sire bond. Especially for the way it again makes Elena a product of the men in her life and their motivations. A major reason I was so excited about vampire Elena, is that it meant, physically, emotionally and mythologically it put all three of them on the same…

I agree with everyone else that "Castle" the show can't keep bringing Castle/Beckett the edge of the 'will they' and then step away and expect us to remain as emotionally invested as the show wants us. Castle's fun this episode felt forced, which of course is intended, but still, it's annoying.
I actually felt like a lot of this episode has Buffy shoutouts. Although I felt the dream sequence was a little more Jenny/Drusilla to Giles but that's just me. The dream-scene when Elena(Rebekah) says drink also reminded me of when Buffy heals Angel. The Scooby Gang meeting in the woods to discuss the team plan and…
It is slightly interesting that Castle was so angry about Beckett lying to him when he himself is holding the 'I've got a fancy powerpoint presentation on your Mom's murder investigation sitting on my computer but I won't mention it' cards close to his chest. But of course, that is the dilemma of the season.
I don't think they ever actually talked about it no, but then, Robin didn't decide to just break it off with Kevin, he withdrew his marriage proposal when he decided he actually did want to have kids. I think they've both made some mistakes and more than anything I wish they'd talk about it. I love Super Date ep for…
I'm not a Barney and Robin shipper but is it slightly weird that Robin didn't seem particularly invested or shocked in Barney's moving on and so quickly? My guess is they are trying to play it down for the shock wedding switcheroo, in which Barney decides to not rush into marriage with Quinn and turns to Robin but…
My only issue with this episode was Alexis briefing Castle and Beckett in morgue with Lainey nodding along, about the cause of death of the grandpa which a professional coroner seemingly overlooked. Um, wildly inappropriate and sure Castle the show plays fast and loose with this stuff all the time and I don't normally…
Oh she absolutely wasn't fake flirting on the couch, but she was supposed to be - cause you know boyfriend was coming with a surprise (spoiler: it's his penis)
Rouge is the highest form of rogue status. Super rouge, I can't even discuss on an open connection like this.
Straight off, this episode started strong with the Jess and Schmidt conversation in the kitchen. Schmidt though, killed it, and Max G's delivery is often the best thing about his lines. I'm so damn happy my VMars boy is doing well!! (Which okay, random but could anyone handle a Deputy Leo/Veronica reunion on New…
I got the SD-6 vibe from them too - it all felt a bit how great are we with our toys and our secret concrete and glass Arvin Sloane lair. Could Beals character not have gone super rouge, besting the minor rouge of the current suspect. That's kinda what I'm expecting.
Um YES @olivececile:disqus I second that! I think we're forgetting poor dead Aunt Jenna who Klaus had no hesitation in turning into a vamp, and then killing her. And in that snafu - good old Elijiah (who I love) didn't exactly stick to his promise of Team Salvatore when it counted so, while I don't want any Originals…
I would agree that Stana was the weakest link in the flashback which is a shame, because she's been so much better this year. Her 40's accent was terribly shaky but she did look amazing in her costumes so win a little, lose a little.
