"The Mystery Shack hung, in the entropic ballet of near decay" - that's good Pynchon.

Totally, that's what hooked me into the show, they're such well-drawn characters. The way Mabel manages to be as goofy and that and still be so utterly charming is wonderful - in a worse show, she could be Phoebe-level annoying, but instead she's one of my favourite characters in any tv show right now.

Really really is.

"Piercinald Anesthesia Hawthorne!" probably got the biggest laugh out of me in Community's whole run so far.

I'd agree with that, it's short but still feels longer than some of his other stuff. That worked for me in terms of the adaptation though, because I'm not that precious about Cosmopolis and was just intrigued to see what an axis of DeLillo-Cronenburg-Pattinson would look like.

It doesn't work great, and that's speaking as a fan of DeLillo's. It doesn't seem preposterous that a financial billionaire wunderkind would speak entirely in clipped, free-associative digressions full of factoids about science and computing and religion, but everyone in the movie talks that way - his advisors, his

Same, huge exodus in the London cinema I saw it at. It does gel a little better as it goes on, but it really highlights how little Don DeLillo's dialogue sounds like things people would actually say.

His monotone recitation of unsayable DeLillo-isms drove her into a frenzy of indifference.
