"For anyone who used to spend
hours crafting a homemade mix tape, or walked around carrying a
cumbersome Discman and a wallet crammed full of CDs, Jobs’ initial
introduction of the iPod in 2001 was like seeing Henry Ford debut the
automobile to a crowd of slack-jawed farmers."Is probably the best line I've read on…
I always thought it was lame on Patti Smith's part to name Time After Time as her favourite REM track, given that it's the REM track where Stipe's Patti Smith obsession is most evident.
Needs more Hot Topic by Le Tigre.
Oh wow, Bridge of Birds. I haven't thought about that book in ages. I read it once a year when I was a kid.
Seriously, I ended up seeing most of Sex and the City because of my ex (SO IT'S OKAY RITE??), and Miranda is easily the best character.

I'm not too au fait with the online cooking show streaming community, so I'm not sure if this is available anywhere, but there has been a fun series recently called the Great British Bake-off, which is an almost comically sedate baking competition, hosted by a woman who seems to have been frozen in aspic since her…
Haha, I used his "Remember, you aren't a duck… you are human!" on a mixtape, too. And some Mark Arm blather from a Mudhoney bootleg. Probably the best mixtape ever, in hindsight.
+1 to people who're gonna watch Hunger now. Thanks, wolfman!
If nothing else, a one-off follow up by Todd elaborating on his response to the show now he's more familiar with it would be cool.
Well, they are still covering X-Factor, LOL!
Oh man, the peanut factory bit. That was like a Far Side cartoon made flesh.
I'm not sure if it's worse that the first thing I did upon opening this article was to ctrl + f 'fink', or that I still managed to miss someone making the reference.
