My thing with season 5 is that Gus is pretty much the only unambiguously good character in the entire show. Everyone else has their foibles and their complications, but he's this wonderful, encouraging boss. A moral guardian, an arbiter for the truth, a bastion for honest investigative journalism over sensationalism…

I don't know about the "fuck" scene. I enjoyed it, but one of my friends showed it to this guy who was thinking of watching The wire, and he was like "that's the shittest thing I've ever seen, is that for real?"

Doing Overnight Celebrity for Twista showed what a Kanye track with a really fast rapper would sound like. It sounds like something that's great on a single, but you wouldn't want to hear for a whole album.

A new boiler, surely the least fun way to spend 1,000. At least throwing out of the window you'd see the scrabbling mass, the hate filled faces. I have spent a cool grand on acquiring the resumption of an equitable temperature.

A lot of my friends hated it, but I really enjoyed it. It's flawed as hell, and I think enjoyment is dependent on how much you're willing to forgive its flaws.
