I'm willing to bet this was filmed in a semi-wealthy fanboy's basement. Wealthy enough to hire a D-List actor, not wealthy enough to move production out of said basement. Or buy makeup and costumes from anywhere other than Wal-Mart.

I think Johnny5000 meant I should have offered a spoiler warning because, since I said that there was a happy ending here, obviously Mimi doesn't die in Rent. And for that, I apologize.

La Boheme
Is one of my favorite operas of all time. But, part of what makes it so heart-wrenchingly great is that Mimi DIES at the end. Why did they feel the need to include a happy ending here?? I think that was when I let out the biggest groan of all.
