I concur and would like to also acknowledge the sole female robot on Mystery Science Theater 3000.

Ha ha, yeah, those phone calls in the seventh Palace were pretty hilarious. "Hello there, I'm just calling you on your personal cell phone, in your office, to confirm that you completed the illegal acts that I requested of you, as part of our evil corruption scheme."

I had the misfortune of running smack dab into that particular debrief when I was almost at the time I wanted to stop playing and get ready for bed, so I was chagrined at the endlessness of it. And it definitely wasn't a fair-play mystery, though there were hints here and there.

I am very comfortable with my decision not to sign my protagonist up for statutory rape, especially considering what the first goddamn Palace was all about.

I have indeed. Although I have to wonder about the design of some of them. I mean, a luck-based dice game with only two inputs? How could that possibly hold a player's attention?

Aw, shucks.

Oh, speaking of poetry, I found my original text copy of that FFVI sonnet I mentioned. Here it is, if you're interested:

Good times.

Oh yes, I remember Warrisey. A one-off gimmick comment for the ages.

That Law & Order thread will never be bested.

More like the intestine, but yes.

Oh yeah, I've seen that one. Clever bit of reappropriation there.

I've got one or two that still make me smile.

So far my favorite absurd hypothesis is that Akechi is the mysterious Metaverse hitman. It doesn't make an ounce of sense, but it makes me laugh.

This Week in the Metaverse: My cross-country move is finally complete, so I'm back on the Persona 5 bandwagon. This week I blazed right through the… what is it, fifth Palace? I'm gonna say fifth. The space station one. Good fun, but man was the plot twist afterward telegraphed a mile away. I've read enough Agatha
