May I present a defense, taken from 1776:

I want to see a proper big-screen adaptation of the Oz books by L. Frank Baum. The 1939 Wizard of Oz is a classic, and rightly so, but for some reason no one's taken a whack at the sequels outside of Return to Oz (which has its own merits, but mashed up two of the books willy-nilly). I want to see an appropriately

I second Clancy Brown. I don't think there's actually been a definitive live-action Luthor yet.

I admit, I stopped reading at "the Nightingale, a serial killer with a thing for nurses." So we can add "serial killer" and "women being murdered" to this show's surprisingly thorough list of things that TV doesn't need more of right now.

Whatever the arbitrary criteria, this report has accomplished its goal: several thousand more people have now heard of Go Compare, which will likely lead to a sufficient percentage increase in client acquisition to offset the resources and man-hours expended in its creation.

The actors were great, sure. The story they were given to play, not so much.

I'm constantly puzzled by how few worthwhile romance storylines there are in superhero adaptations. In the movies, they're often rushed and unconvincing. On TV, conversely, they tend to be convoluted, overplotted, and bizarre. Is it that hard to pull off? Should all these people just sit down and watch Justice League

This one really zipped past (goddammit, there is no way to talk about pacing without inadvertently making Flash puns) riiiight up until we got to the point that Barry had to fight another goddamn evil speedster. I appreciate that they skipped the Twilight Zone doldrums (wherein the protagonist stumbles around in

Phrasing!

Okay, well, it's kind of embarrassing, but: I don't understand why Nickelodeon hasn't licensed a Danny Phantom comic book. Seems like a no-brainer, since it's an out-and-out superhero story and still has a sizable cult following (including me). I noticed there'll be a Nick marketing executive at a panel, so I plan to

I plan on attending their panel at NYCC this week, though it's scheduled super late. I like the cut of their jib.

I'm gearing up for NYCC, where I plan to pack in all the networking I can handle. It looks like I won't be able to meet most of the comics people I already know, but I'm going to try and meet as many editors and mucky-mucks as I can, pick their brains, and try to angle my way into getting a job down the line. On my

Verily.

They did do the nasty in the past-y.

Have the last name "Marsh" and hang out with comedy writers a lot.

If Nintendo wants to start suing people who make web comics about Pokemon, they probably won't get to this one for at least a decade.

The Gameological Society finally found a way to prevent me from nominating a track from an old edutainment game every goddamn time.

Rank 14 in Hearthstone is indeed quite good! Well done!

There really should be a rule that being covered in barnacles automatically increases your Charisma to maximum when talking to grizzled old sea captains.

More World of Warcraft: Legion for me. I appreciate the obvious effort put into giving the player reasons to revisit parts of the new map after the initial questing is done. Profession quests, class hall campaigns, world quests, etc. Granted, most of it is still of the "go here, kill anything that moves" variety, but
