Don't remember liking it the first time I watched it, but then, I watched it with some friends and realized that it was actually pretty damn hilarious. I appreciated that it never took itself too seriously, as I feel like some Disney movies are wont to do.

I didn't care for Gattaca, though granted, I wasn't really in the mood for a meditative sci-fi drama when I watched it. It was one of the movies where I appreciated the ideas, but I just didn't enjoy watching it very much. Though, I will say Jude Law was most excellent.

I heard about the raves for How to Train Your Dragon, was disappointed by it the first time I saw it, but it improved immensely upon rewatch, when I stopped trying to pick it apart and just let myself enjoy it. The great soundtrack helped.

The Simpsons Movie is awesome, much better than the modern-day show. Is it as good as classic Simpsons? No, but I still think it's an enjoyable enough way to spend a couple of hours. It helped that when I first saw it in theaters, it was with a very eager and enthusiastic crowd.

Not to be that guy, but it was the '70s, not the '80s.

The film-making adventures was definitely more fascinating than the alien stuff, but I was fine with the alien stuff serving as the narrative backbone for the character-centric stuff.

Super 8 is still my favorite movie from last year. I didn't go into it with low expectations either, as it was one of my most anticipated movies last year. I know that was kind of the point, but it really did feel like classic Spielberg, in the best possible way.

I hated the entire ending, including the wedding. The resolution between her and the cop boyfriend in particular bugged the hell out of me.

I put off seeing Bridesmaids for the same reason pretty much anyone else did. Saw it, thought it was a decent movie, but I still had a lot of issues with it and I didn't like it nearly as much as a lot of other people did.

40 Year Old Virgin is still easily the best movie to come from Apatow or any of his compatriots. The entire ensemble cast was just pitch-perfect, and it's funny pretty much from beginning to end. I love it.
