Still, really props for putting a list together, even if it was sort of an involuntary decision on your part. I feel like I should at least attempt to make a list, since I typically rank the movies I see in theaters each year, but it's such a daunting challenge.

Cool, I will try to find some time for it. Who's it by?

I need to read The Art of Fielding. Love baseball, and from what I've heard about it, I feel like I'd like it.

(500) Days of Summer is a favorite of mine. The quirky, indie hipsterness of it never bothered me. The unconventional structure and such felt like such a breath of fresh air for me compared to standard romantic comedies, though this was before I'd ever seen Annie Hall. It was one of those movies that just made me feel

Congratulations on making that list. I don't know if I could ever make a definitive favorite movies list, especially one that long. My opinions are just too mercurial. That's too bad about the dog. I love dogs but have never been able to own one.

@avclub-489acfbfa4d2424403acb81699170ac2:disqus You're definitely not alone on your Lost opinions. Though I largely liked Prometheus, agree about Lindelof. Obviously, he had a hand in some of the flaws of the movie, but I hope that he finds a project that ends up being brilliant (other than Lost, of course). Maybe

Oooh, Scrawler! Please do continue to watch Fringe! It's a wonderful show.

I read I Am the Messenger a couple months ago. Didn't care for a lot of the book (definitely requires a certain amount of suspension of disbelief), but the ending kinda redeemed it for me. It's an interesting read. I'd be curious to hear what you think when you finish.

I'm with you on Prometheus. I tend to give movies a bit of leeway if they're engaging enough for me to not notice most of the plotholes while I'm actually watching, which happened for me with Prometheus. The plotholes and logic gaps are, well, significant, though. Visually, it was phenomenal, and the C-section scene

Bolt wasn't Pixar. I believe that one is straight Disney.

I thought Mad Men's third season was great as well (aside from Don's teacher mistress, who was just dull, IMO) and I was also surprised to see how many people thought it was the weakest. Though I didn't - and still don't - care for Henry, Betty was well-developed in season 3; from what I remember, she had some really
