I was such a stupid kid that I remember wondering, "Who's Roy? I don't remember them introducing a Roy before."

I was such an animation nerd growing up that I instantly knew whom June Bellamy was an homage to. I was about to write that I wish they had Foray on the show, but I totally forgot that she guest starred in a bit part during the first season. They should've just gotten her to play Bellamy, though I do like Erik

Excuse me, but "reverberate" and "pizzazz"? Aren't these just buzzwords that dumb people use to sound important? Not that I'm accusing you of anything like that. [pause] I'm banned, aren't I?

Most of "The Sting" was a dream, which actually makes it funnier since Leela's subconscious somehow remembered the radiator.

There were actually a couple of gags in these two that were very reminiscent of Simpsons jokes. The Flexo reveal in particular felt too much like a retread of the Hugo/Bart reveal.

I love the jumbonium reveal. It's not especially complicated humor, but damn if it doesn't make me laugh every time:

"Jam a bastard in it, you crap!"

I kind of love that Thompson is such a douche that he won't call Peggy by her preferred nickname. Although, for the life of me I still don't get how Peggy is short for Margaret.

He or she must've had a chicken pocket.

Damn kids had the nerve to grow up. Should've slipped them anti-growth hormones in their cereal. Also, WTF, DW was voiced by boys all along?

Kyle is already the second reviewer for the show. Oliver Sava wasn't any kinder to it at the beginning of the season.

"Thank you" for the reviews, Dan! No, really, I don't mean that in a passive-aggressive way at all!

I got my replacement, but I remember having to pay a $2 S&H fee.

I remember noticing that the Simpsons were kind of jerkier than normal to Shary, with Lisa in particular acting out of character.

I always thought that the show really went off the rails when Greg Daniels left, and the Hank vs. Government Bureaucracy plots lost whatever sense of subtlety or nuance they used to have. But then I read that Mike Judge wasn't all that involved in the last few seasons anyway so I'm not sure what happened.

Oh, wow, I never realized that Anthony Page was a recurring character. Dave Herman played so many guest jackasses that they all tended to blend together.

Yeah, I already have the Homer and Marge head cases, so my OCD compels me to get Maggie's. Unfortunately, it would also compel me to get Bart and Lisa, even though I really don't want seasons 9 or 10.

I just found out that existed earlier today when I was looking up the episode. I really should getting around to getting S8 on DVD, but the Maggie Head cases are so rare now.

Bart: And I'll take up smoking and give that up.
