The joke is that explaining jokes is actually a horrible way to make friends.
I actually have 1-4, but stopped when I realized they weren't putting any effort into the releases anymore (flippers and no bonus features, blech). I think 6 is the last truly great season, too, with the cult episode and "Returning Japanese" among my list of favorites. And looking through the list from 7, I realize it…
Disagree completely. 9-12 have a lot of episodes that are are often cited as the worst of the series for a reason. "Principal and the Pauper," "Saddlesore Galactica," "Homer vs. Dignity," "Kill the Alligator and Run," "Alone Again, Natura-Diddily." Those aren't a level beneath the classic episodes; they're a different…
My brother recently got addicted to Simpsons: Tapped Out, so I get a lot of use out of "Tappa-tappa-tappa" from season 11.
KotH's humor is generally more subdued and much less quotable (though I still get a lot of out of "That's my purse! I don't know you!"). It also relies less on background sight gags and pop culture references, so there's less of a need for capsules.
I always forget that "Simpson Tide" is part of the 3G set, because it fits in with the tone of humor set by the rest of season 9. Meanwhile, I've always thought that "Lisa's Sax" fits in with season 3, while the other two feel right at home in season 8.
D'oh, you're right, I forgot he only told the nephew and the editor. But I imagine it would still weigh on his mind and make him more understanding of Ellie's situation.
Plus, Ellie knows that Carver was involved in a cover-up of his own, so she has something to use against him if he goes after Tom.
She gets betrayed by her husbands a lot, though, doesn't she? I thought the most interesting part of her performance here was the cover up. A second season with her on the run would've been entertaining.
Post-mortem (heh) interviews with the producers for anyone interested:
*in extremely judgmental tone that'll come back to bite me in the butt later* How could you not know?
The reprise of "How could you not know?" was hilarious. What are the chances that Beth knew the exact words that Ellie had said to Susan?
Yeah, that tied in to a clue they gave in the previous episode, where Ellie complained that Joe never does his promised home repairs. Here he explained that instead of doing the repairs he was giving the money to Danny to pay for his cellphone bills.
Carver mentioned that they had similar builds and, for whatever reason, similar hats. Then he said something like, "She either really thought it was him, or really wanted it to be him."
I remember "A Flight to Remember" feeling dated when it aired, and that was only two years after the movie.
Next week's reward challenge will be a puzzle involving putting together a broken vase.
I love the recurring joke of no one in the family actually listening to each other.
Ho, ho-ho!
Yeah, Andrea in Caramoan. The lists are here for anyone interested: http://survivor.wikia.com/w…
