I was there.  I played these bands on college radio in the Midwest, in the 80s.  Zero cred value in a sea of Journey and Madonna fans.   Real subculture.

I nominate "Cowboys and Aliens" to this list.  

I actually watched another Killinger video since I couldn't believe how bad they were.  One of the band members thanks "everyone who came out to the Calgary and Edmunton shows".  Says it all right there.

Exactly.  I'd be less incensed if they just called it The Rolling Stone Magazine Hall of Fame.

Right.  Jimmy and John Paul Jones both played on Season of the Witch.

Guns n' Roses had one great record, and a smattering of other great songs.  The Red Hot Chilli Peppers?  The Cure were turned down this year in favor of the Chilli Peppers.  It's all about sales and who Jann Wenner likes….or doesn't like (Rush, Joy Division).  Please, someone stop this guy from controlling who is part
