Yeah - I like Meredith's recaps, but I find her attitude towards Lorelai's clothes baffling. Sure, Lorelai does occasionally wear something of questionable taste (like Rachel's bedazzled hoodie back in season 1), but most of the time, her clothes are perfectly normal or even extremely pretty. Yet Meredith seems to put

Ugh, that one was awful, but especially so because it was in the title of the episode - which was ridiculous, because that's the episode with

I posted a Youtube link to that scene (and the other deleted scene from this episode) further downthread.

Um, wtf? I post once a week on thread about a show I like. How does that translate into 'dedicating my life to it'? Not to mention that I spend nearly as much time criticizing certain aspects of the show (e.g., Lorelai's immaturity, the poor handling of the college application storyline, etc.) as I do defending

How is that not funny?

I know. What the heck, people?!

It's absolutely adorable. I'm really surprised it was cut out from the episode. Maybe it was deleted due to the fact that the actress playing young Lorelai is just so un-Lorelai-ish, and that was particularly glaring when seen almost next to Lauren Graham.

IMO, it's got nothing to do with pimping the movies. LOTR is a major pop-culture icon - and was especially on everyone's minds in 2003 (with the movies still coming out). It's hardly surprising that people reference it. There were probably millions of pets - and probably plenty of unfortunate kids as well - who were

Thanks!

Am I the only one who likes Sasha?

The key word there is 'fiction'. In real life it may be obnoxious for a valedictorian to talk only about stuff that is important to herself, but this isn't real life. Yeah, it's graduation day for everyone at Chilton, but we care only about Rory (and maybe Paris). It's her story; it's a show called 'Gilmore Girls',

She was fine as a one-shot character, but would have been way too much to take on a regular basis. Besides, Michel was already there to fill in the rude Inn employee quota.

Nope, nothing beats 'Bunheads' in its horribleness. ASP seems to have a talent for awful names.

As I mentioned a couple of weeks ago, I decided to review the last two episodes of this season myself, instead of complaining about Sims’s reviews. This is just my personal take on these two episodes – I don’t claim to be a ‘better’ reviewer than Sims, I just want to highlight a few things that he tends to overlook.

Sims attend to subjext? Surely you jest.

I find it strange that he waited so long to read the comments. How can a reviewer be so oblivious as to review nearly three seasons of a show before wondering what his readers think of the reviews?

It was a really weird scene. I'm not really sure what Lorelai was trying to accomplish. Why was she chasing - literally chasing! - a guy she had dumped unceremoniously almost at the altar because he didn't fit into her life? Was she trying to rekindle the romance (and if so why?), or was she looking for one last roll

But he is planning for college. He even tells Rory that he's still going to college even after marriage, and Lindsay will go with him. (Of course, neither of them winds up going once reality of life after marriage catches up with them.)

YMMV. I found it exciting enough. GG rarely indulges in drama for drama's sake (at least before the 6th season).

It still seems a bit rushed. Of course, it's possible that Lindsay and Dean started dating the second he broke up with Rory, and so have been dating for several months. But we (and Rory) found out about it only 5 episodes ago (in "Face-Off"), so it seems extremely sudden.
