Any post that mentions TLo's sterling* work on Mad Style deserves a like. Of course, your post deserves a like on its own account as well.

You watched the show in the late 90s? May I borrow your time machine? ;)

A near-perfect Sims-ian review. It just needs the word 'boring' in there somewhere.

Oy with the poodles already! What's up with the Gilmore Girls reviews? I need my GG fix. I'm already suffering withdrawal symptoms from the lack of review last week.

@avclub-eb058ced22520c3a8f4e4a6e2fb16403:disqus Sorry, I have zero sympathy for Lana, and there's no way I would call what she went through 'suffering'. She made shitty choices for herself and her baby all the way through. Not to mention, she screwed over Angelo too. She may not have liked the idea of him raising the

I don't remember the dates on Emmett's timeline. I based my assumption for the start date on the fact that school seems to be in session during the entirety of season 1A: Bay makes her initial discovery about the blood mismatch due to a class project; the Kennishes take Daphne to Buckner; Liam visits Daphne at

I can't believe they actually got the peacocks!

How did Lana suffer? She was the cause of the whole mess. If she hadn't run away with the baby, and then given her up for adoption, none of this would have happened, i.e. Angelo would have had her from the start, since Lana didn't want to raise her anyway.

Even though Daphne's fling with Chef Jeff was clearly presented as 'romantic' in season 1, I think the writers have done a good job of providing a broader perspective on it in season 2. First there was Melody's talk with Daphne in the first episode of season 2, which is undoubtedly one of the finest scenes on the show

I can't believe I'm about to defend Ty (yikes!), but yeah - as assholish as his fake-cheating story was, it was clearly a spur-of-the-moment thing. He probably decided it was easier to get Bay to break up with him and 'move on with her life', than to try to explain away the panties and condom wrapper, and then break

I have no problem with Angelo's ultimate decision, but I do agree that the timeline of the story was really weird, with all the important bits stuffed in at the end, covering only 3 episodes or so. Maybe it was originally meant to be more spread out, but the storyline had to be moved to later in the season because

IMO, Angelo's story got the best possible conclusion it could possibly have under the complicated circumstances. Abby went back to two loving parents who desperately wanted her back, and were, as far as we know, perfectly good parents. And Angelo realized the truth behind the saying: 'Be careful what you wish for -

The outfit was cute, but wtf was going on with her hair?

It's been (nearly) two years within the show's own timeline too, though it's never explicitly stated. They found out about the switch a few weeks before October 2011 (Bay and Daphne's 16th birthday); a full school year passed (the first two parts of season 1); the summer of 2012 was compressed within the mid-season

Love the idea of the unfulfilled-Kathryn storyline. SaB writers - are you reading these comments?

'Fake Monica' is a pretty terrible episode: Not only does it require a great deal of suspension of disbelief to accept that Monica would allow a thief to continue using her credit card, but it also commits the sin of telling instead of showing us how great Fake Monica (the character) is. The character as she is seen

'Fake Monica' was the first episode I saw too - because my local channel wrongly ran it before the pilot episode. I spent half the episode confused about what was going on, and what was the deal with that monkey anyway.

Or maybe a montage of Emily giving Lorelai the silent treatment. Sort of like the silent version of 'Friday Night's Alright For Fighting'.

That's a good point about this season (or part of this season, which is what you mean, I guess) being about fathers. I wish the show had spent some time developing this theme or drawing interesting parallels and contrasts between the various father-daughter relationships. But there were just so many stories and

But Ty is an asshole in any case. Didn't his behaviour last week tip you off? He emotionally blackmailed Bay into doing something she was deeply uncomfortable doing (climbing the tower and then jumping off it). Frankly, to me, that's way worse than telling her a white lie about why he's going back to Afghanistan.
