IMO, it wasn't so much that Chandler was in love with Janice, as he was in love with the idea of being in love. He was temporarily willing to overlook her annoying habits for the sake of a dream romance, but once it crashed and burned, he probably remembered just how annoying she could be.

@disqus_jc0YTPDJYw:disqus While it works or not is, of course, subjective. But my point is that, objectively speaking, Lorelai has every right to be angry that her daughter was in a car accident, and to express that anger at the guardian of the boy driving the car. Did she express that anger badly or too vehemently?

They never solved the mystery of the missing baseballs. WHERE ARE THE BASEBALLS, JESS?!!

Yes, that's a good point. Ever since Jess showed up in SH, and showed an interest in Rory, Lorelai has been worried that he was headed for self-destruction and would wind up hurting Rory. The accident may not have been a huge event in itself, but it must have felt like the confirmation of her worst fears to Lorelai -

I loved that striped top. My memory is a bit rusty though - when did she wear it before?

Luke's rage at Dean was insane (and creepy, as I just posted in another thread): he may have been fond of Rory, but she wasn't actually his daughter. I don't think Luke assaulting Dean for daring to break up with Rory (which is really none of Luke's business at all) is in any way comparable to Lorelai screaming at

I really sympathized with Rory's frustration in this episode. People kept treating her like some sort of mindless idiot who couldn't help but be manipulated by the oh-so-diabolical Jess.

"Mrs. Chanandler Bong"? That's "Ms. Chanandler Bong", thank you very much.

Well, according to TV, the mere fact that you voluntarily read a book means that you're hopelessly nerdy. So writing in a book equals to being either super-hopelessly nerdy (the negative view) or super-smart (the positive view).

I hate how her story ended in Season 7.

I agree. I didn't think her reaction was over the top either. Was it influenced by how much she hated Jess already? Sure. But I doubt she would have been fine with it if it had been Dean in that car instead of Jess. It's unlikely she would have screamed at Dean's parents, but she certainly would have had some choice

Jess eats Rocky Road! *gasp* I knew he was a bad sort, but I didn't know he could go so far. And to think, a punk like him was hanging out with dear, innocent Rory, who of course, would never even think of ordering anything other than vanilla …

It's so sweet to see Lane find her calling in life. The little smile on her face after she sits down to sing hymns with her mother, while still obviously thinking about the drums, is simply adorable.

That's my second favourite Kirk moment.

Hallellujah! Sims finally managed to get through a Gilmore Girls review without complaining that it's boring or that 'nothing happens'. At least 'Teach Me Tonight' had some drama, even though it's 'not as scintillating as one might want'. Don't worry, Sims. The bank heist / drug deal gone bad / shootout / elopement /

Kirk's film is him at his goofiest best. Possibly the best Kirk moment in the entire series. Of course, I'm open to other suggestions. Cast your votes, folks!

I'm surprised at the low community rating. IMO, almost everything about this episode worked well, that too, despite the return of *Ugh!ChefJeff. We had a plotline that brought together not only Bay and Daphne, but also Bay and Emmett. Travis (and Mary Beth) finally got a win. Kathryn did something pro-active instead

I really wanted to punch Jeff when he was whining about being 'punished'. You know how not to make your fiancee think you're a paedophile, Jeff? Don't sleep with a 16-year-old, that's how!

Nicely put. Yes, Jace is a horrible human being, and I hope we've seen the last of him (fat chance, though), but you make a valid point that his willingness and ability to learn ASL so fast would have been a big selling-point for Daphne.

It was a totally missed opportunity to show Dawn of the Deaf - which is probably a far better movie than Deafenstein, judging by the few clips we've seen of it.
