It's Darrell Hammond, more than anyone, who overstayed his welcome. It's time to move on for Armisen; his Prince skits feel like a lifetime ago.

The narrator so took me out of VCB and made it unbearable. MATCH POINT was fine, but it's still just a pale retake on CRIMES AND MISDEMEANORS, his last truly great film.

I want to second Pugfuggly on this one:

I'm anti-shipper, but that was fine tv
All it needed was the talking lion phone to top it off.

One of my favorite aspects of the show is how deep the tertiary cast is — Gary Cole! Mamie Gummer! The Mr. Mom investigator and Smoke Monster DA.

Beyond the rise of cable, it's also the demise of locally owned-and-operated network affiliates which had more commitment to the community (and economic leeway) to devote such commercial-free airtime to such causes.

Oh: Lance Armstrong. Duh.

It's never lupus.

Jerry Lewis is an asshole.
He's been rude, dismissive and offensive around women, gay people, and people with disabilities. But when you raise over $2,000,000,000 over the years for neuromuscular patient care and research over the years, well, I'm willing to give you something of a pass.

You know who I'd like to see back from this season? The Russell sycophant who looked like Sarah Silverman-but-cuter. She had some game.

Ethan never had a vote cast against him. That was a generally lousy season because the level of physical deprivation was so high, and there was no place to go fishing.

If Rob C hadn't come back for All-Stars I, I'd love to see him again now. (Same goes for Ami Cusack and the second such season.) But I agree with those above — can we please just get first-time returnees, and not folks seeking a third or fourth chance?

Stacey's the one who sued after the first season because the producers allegedly pushed the other competitors to get rid of her and keep Rudy, whom they believed would make for better tv. It's unclear how that litigation was ever resolved.

Except that everyone *knew* he posed such a threat, given his history on the show. And they still couldn't/didn't get rid of him, couldn't even force him to flush out the HII.

Hatch can't leave the country for a while; there were rumors months ago that they were looking at Hatch and Fairplay as a duo for a future season.

"Genius is what that was." Thank you, counselor. And axing Matt was devastating.

Brian was so damn unlikeable, but he played the game well. Fireman Tom and JT played damn-near perfect games, and the Tom v Ian on the buoys remains my favorite Survivor challenge ever, damn-near Shakespearean in its weight.

It does. Because had the producers shown that they knew about the HII, you could theoretically also show them try to figure out how to flush it out.

Plenty of seasons were worse than this. No need to list them. This one was top-5 for the satisfaction.

I was entertained by Philip's attitude. It still made no sense strategically.
