Mariner grated on me most of the first season. Especially as she was such of a perfect Mary Sue who always had the solution and knew everything, and her own flaw (she was demoted) was a big plus in her eyes. And even when the captain crossed a line to discipline her, it was the captain who ended up apologizing.

I did grow to like Mariner as we got to see her realize that her behavior isn’t sustainable. The episode where her Academy bestie is already a captain was really great character work which was not something I was expecting from an animated Trek show (and really something missing from Discovery and Picard even though

Dilithium is efficient, but is it the only possible resource to allow warp travel? Zefram Cochrane built a warp drive in Montana, and there is no dilithium on Earth.

Wait so Michael is refounding the Federation?  Can someone get Sorbo under contract for a role here?

Are you telling me one of the top minds behind Star Trek Voyager made something mediocre? I don't believe it!

Not to mention The Right Stuff movie, which is also perfect.

I stopped playing video games 15 years ago but this game, which I had literally never heard of until last week, may convince me to come back. X-Wing vs TIE Fighter and X-Wing Alliance might be my two favorite ever games and I have so many good memories of squaring off against my friends over LAN or, on days when the

Someone had to bring it up.

Poor Annet Mahendru...

seems like Chastain is picking up all the direct-to-video movies John Cusack was doing for a while, she’s one “international assassin” away from wearing a plain black baseball cap in everything

In the War on Terror we knew who we were fighting

Of course Hope killed Elton’s mom...of course because only in The Walking Dead TV Universe could the odds of such a thing happening be practically 1:1.

God this was awful. Spoilers for those who bother

This. Exact . Thing. There are no legitimate motivations for anyone’ s story. Every bit someone learns can be erased later because everyone’s in a daze. There’s nothing to be invested in and no legitimate goals. Another poster waxes poetic about “mythology” but that's pretentious bullshit if you aren't telling an

that finale was doing WAY too much. I dont think they left enough breadcrumbs throughout the show to justify that information dump at the end. Yes sure i was wondering what was really growing inside mother, and wondering who has really been talking to marcus. and what that snake head in the cube that was being

After reading other responses to this review, I realize that I wouldn’t mind the meandering plot or the unanswered questions if there was a strong central core of characters to care about. I could get behind a show that centered on Mother, Father, Mary/Sue, and maybe one or two of the kids (Paul? Tempest?). But

What annoys me the most about this show (aside from the endless cliches & tropes) is how they use the planet as a giant mystery box to move the plot. Everytime they need something to happen, they introduce some random ass creature, or hallucination. None of the characters have authentic motivations anymore. They’re

I understand that but Hamlet Sr.’s ghost told Hamlet that the poison was poured in his ear and here “Sol” who as a jew I am hoping is “Solomon from Flatbush” told Paul everything about Sue. There is a “Sol” who communicates telepathically, there is a flying android lizard. and so it goes.

Yeah, when you’re a robot who has been immaculately conceived by a deranged ancient sun god, you can’t be surprised when you start coughing up flying snake babies. That’s the oldest trick in the book.
