Yeah people are complaining about how unpleasant Janice was but I say yes that’s the point she was a villain that you really really hated and THAT’s what made Dom finally getting the drop on her so satisfying

Thank you! I was going to post a comment there saying “glorified clip show” but I was scared of the reaction I’d get. And other people were saying it was their favorite episode ever!

I agree about the Tyrone and Joanna Wellick stuff. It really looks to me like we’re not going to get a satisfying end to that part of the story and it was presented as SUCH a BIG DEAL for awhile

55th seems about right to me

Mr. Robot made the top 100 for AVC

I thought Janice was a much more effective character/villain than Bobby Cannavale’s character was. Cannavale’s character just seemed like a collection of annoying quirks. Janice had some quirks with the taxidermy stuff etc. but most of all she was a just a downright SCARY villain. I get what you’re saying about

Exactly. It’s arbitrary, petty, and trivial which makes it hilarious to watch Rick go to such lengths for it. But also, going to crazy lengths to defend heist films is ridiculous as well

I understand what you’re saying but I thought Rick’s over-the-top deranged unreasonable hatred of heist films was just hilarious to observe and I didn’t see it as being a serious indictment of the genre. I mean if you like heist (and I don’t hate it) I can see how you might feel attacked, but I’m not sure too many

I thought the idea of making of fun of heist as a genre was really fun and creative. Heist is such a narrow and tiny genre that viewing it this way is just funny to me, even moreso the idea that there would be a whole sublculture built around it that has conventions etc. I think Handlen is right that it’s a very

TV episode recaps have never gone through any sort of editing process I’m pretty sure

Cazzie David is 25, one year younger than Pete. The girl he’s dating now is only 18 though and is Cindy Crawford’s daughter

I’m Bipolar too so he’s pretty much my hero

I can’t stand her

It wasn’t as good as the Chance the Rapper episode in my opinion but I agree it was a strong, consistent episode. Nothing was amazing but everything was good except for the debate sketch as you say

The idea that she is pushing all these contrived moments to try to go viral is very widespread and shared by folks of all sorts of political persuasions. What sort of bubble must Perkins live in that he thinks it’s purely an SNL writers’ room thing?

He’s actually great at both!

You’re wrong. It’s actually very good

Reading the Graphic Novel (which I still recommend doing) would give you no help in answering the questions you just asked

Yeah while Rohrshach never explicitly espoused white supremacist beliefs in “Watchmen” the graphic novel he was explicitly a violent right wing extremist and those types tend to be at best white power adjacent and further even if there wasn’t as much explicit racial component in his original beliefs they easily could
