Why do you still exist?

I can’t believe he’s still technically part of the show (even if it is as a featured). I figured he was destined to be unceremoniously let go during the current season.

I completely agree. I thought Mulaney’s performance style worked great for SNL even if it wasn’t what would conventionally be called “good acting.”

I’ve been underwhelmed by the Vixen’s drag in many ways and I don’t think she’s blameless in the conflicts she’s been involved in but I’m sicked of all the straight up hate for her in these comments. First of all the talk about her being political and activist are about what she does in her home base of Chicago not

Purse first!

Yes, but i9t was very very controversial. They were the American Apparel ads of their day

I think this maybe my favorite episode of “Atlanta” ever. Or, at the very least, if I was going to point to a single episode which shows what’s great about this show it would be this, definitely not the atypical Adult Swim stoner comedy of ‘B.A.N.” as some people bafflingly choose. This episode just went in so many

I don’t think he completely sucks I think he’s just a . . .complex guy trying to figure it all out who has a bunch of realistic foibles. I don’t think he has any particular aptitude for dealing with white folks or whatever, which I’ve seen the reviewer imply before, or really any other characteristics which make him

Yeah as scary as the whole situation for the engineer was supposed to be I’m pretty sure the implication wasn’t that he was going to be straight up murdered. I mean, Clarke County still needs an engineer and having a murder beef even around the periphery of a character who’s meant to be an up and coming hip-hop/pop

Chance the Rapper is definitely a reference point for that song and even for that character as a whole. It also made me think of L’il Yachty, who famously abstains from alcohol and (I think) weed as Clarke County is revealed to in the next episode.

Alyssa isn’t a good actor in more conventional terms but she does have a good understanding of the completely over-the-top acting style needed for these Drag Race sketches

Not this season there weren’t

All of Season 8 was an overstayed welcome. I tried to watch it but most of the episodes were so godawful I couldn’t get through it and I’m a big fan of the show and generally pretty forgiving. I checked the series finale out of some sense of duty and it was a bit better than other season 8 eps I’d seen but still

I like Farrah Moan. She has a way better personality than Kameron McHotDude who everyone’s crazy for this year.

I’m originally from Indiana and I gotta admit I’m so intrigued at the concept of an RPDR Queen from Indianapolis that I feel obliged to root for the kid a little bit. But he does seem really boring so far.

1,000% agree on Monique! I loved her look, especially the makeup. She should’ve won! And I loved her on Untucked! She was hilarious and smart. And I love her boy mode talking heads.

I really wanted to like Kalorie Kardashian but she came off really badly on the Untucked. Her look was already prettty underwhelming and she seemed to be going out of her way to be shady and petty during the Untucked. I’ve never watched Untucked right after the episode like that and it’s amazing what a big difference

The show started as a sort of a low budget, quirky drag parody of other higher budget more serious reality competition shows. The budget for the Season 1 was about $5 an episode and it appeared to be shot on a first generation iPhone. It was clearly meant as a sort of silly meta-commentary on reality competition show

I would place the blame primarily on Bendela for ruining the season, an unpopular position I know. But if Ben had stayed in and inevitably won at least some of the nightmare scenario fanbase and queen reactions everyone’s talking about wouldn’t have happened. The final lip sync would’ve been Ben versus Shangela, Ben

Wow I’m ususally way more positive than Perkins or the consensus but I thought this was a relatively weak episode after a few good ones. I’m afraid I may be evaluating it a little harshly because I have such high hopes for a Hader episode. It’s just that most of the big set piece sketches in the better time slots fell
