Thank you Mr. Neil DeGrasse Tyson

Fair points, but I was responding more to people saying Ru should step down now or soon rather than at some point of the future due to age or something.

I thought it was hilarious. The unpredictability of where it was going. The dumb physical comedy. Great stuff.

Bravo. You two managed to do it. You hijacked and an SNL recap to have the most insufferable, boring, unoriginal argument in the history of the internet.

lol

I agree. This was the best of the season by far. Don’t like Perkins’ hedging with the B+ and criticism of multiple sketches for relatively minor transgressions. I would’ve gone to the A minus. There wasn’t a single outright bad sketch, which itself lifts this above 99% of all SNL eps ever. In addition to the outright

There’s someone who expresses this same boring sentiment in these exact same boring terms in the comments of every SNL episode.

I thought the “Shrek Dinner” was a great, delightfully absurd premise. Brown’s performance just took it to an even higher level.

It was a collaboration between Ru and Big Freedia whose “bounce” music is basically meant to be nothing more than a soundtrack for twerking. That’s why Shangela’s approach made sense. It wasn’t really a lip sync song it was more of a dance song.

I don’t know how folks keep track of all the previous seasons of Top Chef. With 15 Seasons, plus All STars plus Masters I can barely keep previous seasons straight anymore. I will say that I enjoyed many aspects of Top Chef Season 15. The biggest thing I liked about it was the almost total absence of gimmicky

Yeah it started as a sort of a highbrow channel like that. A & E as well. But talking about how far the old guard of basic cable have strayed from their roots is about as relevant as complaining that MTV doesn’t show videos anymore at this point.

Bravo’s scripted series “Imposters” is surprisingly good and basically not at all related to anything else Bravo does or its general brand.

I love Tiny Kitchen. I first became aware of it being a thing through Action Bronson’s show. Apparently they are really cooking tiny versions of these things and they do taste like the dishes at the end. I have no idea how they did the tiny asparagus though.

It seems like the underlying issue is substance abuse problems, which of course are probably tied to other pathologies, the seemingly shitty, macho unhealthy culture of much of the food world etc.

I’ve been defensive of the harsh commentary on this season here but now am starting to see that a lot of the negativity is warranted. HOWEVER, I really disagree with the idea that RuPaul could/would/should or will leave her eponymous show. It’s just absurd. Ru started this show because a mere 10 years or so ago she

Armond White literally does write movie reviews for National Review in case you didn’t know

That was the joke. Flordia Man is an all encompassing urban legend/folk tale to account for all the crazy and terrible shit that happens anywhere in Florida. In Darius’s telling Florida Man was both George Zimmerman and the guy who was supposedly eating another guy’s face due to “bath salts” consumption

I own 16 Toyota Corrolas!

I was really surprised at that myself. Of course without Jay Pharoah’s Shaq it’s just not the same

Because he’s actually pretty funny regardless of what year it is
