@Sunspear:disqus I agree with @avclub-db0c35ce2663c0e8c4b3f38642a49748:disqus that AFFC and ADWD will be combined, but I can also see them expanding it further than two seasons.  If ASOS is getting two seasons by itself, do you think they can fit all of the plot from the next two books into two seasons?

SPOILERS (I guess): At least they don't do internal narration on the show, because I don't think I could hear him say 20,000 variations of "Where do whores go?" throughout the season.

I can't watch more than 10 minutes of soccer, but I watch football all day on Saturdays and Sundays in the fall.

Homeland is pretty awesome, but I also have worries about where it'll go in future seasons.  It would have been perfect as a miniseries.  That finale is one of the most intense episodes of television I have ever seen.

"Hodor," said Hodor.

They'll have to make seasons 5 and 6 a mix of AFFC and ADWD, won't they?  There's no way they'll make two seasons with half the cast in each, like Martin does in the books.  So Dany's stuff will be spread out more, which may make it a little more bearable.

SPOILERS: I thought Jon made some great decisions as leader of the Night's Watch, particularly by executing Janos Slynt (one of my favorite moments in ADWD).  His main problem was not heeding the warnings of dissent among his ranks, which turned out to (potentially) be his end.

We did do the rumor.  And the hat.

S'go!

I marathoned through the first four episodes on Netflix before watching last night's season premiere.  Needless to say, I'm hooked.  And yes, it's extremely quotable.
