You know what's a good movie about old people? Bubba Ho Tep.
I just heard Kevin Kline on NPR the other day talking about how choosy he is about his film roles. The interviewer was like, he's so picky you KNOW if he's in a movie it will be good.

THANK YOU! Ugh, so much neurosis I had the worst case of cognitive dissonance watching that movie. I blame Noah Baumbach.
The trailer made this look more like a TV movie than a theatrical release to me for some reason, too glossy maybe? I am curious about how they tell this story, though, whether she and Hasnat Khan are portrayed as star-crossed lovers or if he is her escape fantasy.
I had to stop watching Unsolved Mysteries while home alone, even in the daytime. That theme song!
Yes! As soon as Body Snatchers came up in the comments I thought about the man-dog. Isn't it all slobbery? *shudder*
So I'm too lazy to look it up, but I think what happens (uh, *spoiler* maybe) is that one of the girls' first loves dies at the beginning. There's another character later on (a son?) who also gets in a train accident but he only loses a leg, and it does get its own tombstone.
Don't worry, keep reading! I just finished it and it was worth it.
Did anyone else think that Andy was emulating Ron at all? it was subtle but I detected an influence in the delivery of some of his lines, especially "Peru —> Erup" and Camp David a little bit.
I assumed it was a typo, and meant to be GHB, but maybe bovine growth hormone makes more sense? I'm not going to be listening to this so I guess I'll never know.
Sigh, I'm in the same boat. I know there are worse things in the world, but man, what a sad confusing time.
Oh yeah, Sin City for sure! I also love him in Last Man Standing, and I must admit I liked his role on "Friends" where he played Ross' young-girlfriend's dad.
I normally can't stand Melanie Griffith either, but she was perfectly cast in the more recent version of "Lolita." A movie which I otherwise kind of hate.
I would totally buy both of those items as gifts…as long as they didn't go so far as to fill the candy bar with corn and pennies.
I so wanted to like this movie. They did a good job with the small-town Midwestern setting, and the pace of building dread was just slow enough. But the ending…no payoff! It was realistic I guess, but I was left unsatisfied. It either ended a few minutes too early or much too late.
