Louis C.K. winning a bunch of awards was cool, although I think he deserved the directing award more than the writing one, since "Duckling" was such a magnificent feat of TV directing. Aaron Paul winning was also nice, although I was hoping Esposito would get best supporting actor.

This episode also has one of the earliest surprisingly risqué scenes of sexual humour on "The Simpsons". Homer turns Marge on by unsheathing his Whacking Day stick and asking, "Should I whack fast or slow?". She replies, "Slow…then fast" and giggles. I love that they could get away with stuff like that.

That headline reminds me of a sign gag on "Family Guy".
(Outside NBC Headquarters): "We used to have Seinfeld, remember?"

Haha, that post was a nice trip down memory lane. I love Marvin. So glad to see him again. One of the funniest supporting comic relief characters of the early seasons, and he even got to have a badass moment when he got revenge on U-Turn.

"C" seems a little harsh to me, but I generally agree with the assessment of the review. Some lovely, surprisingly quiet and understated moments and conversations (especially for a series finale and for this show in general) undercut by some unnecessary junk.

"Groundhog Day" references abound, but I'm surprised Zach didn't mention TNG's "Cause and Effect", since he was the one who reviewed it for this site. The whole time loop thing is such a durable gimmick for TV episodes.

Yeah. She did good!

I'm usually pretty hard on this show for being too obvious or repetitive, but I thought this was novel enough and funny enough to be satisfying, despite how plodding it was at times. My favourite sequence was his audition, even if the funny parts were a bit obvious.

She's one of these people I instinctively expect to be unscrupulous every time I see them because they played such a character so well and so unforgettably in one role.
