Don't know. Channel 4 launched Drifters, Man Down and Toast of London at about the same time and they seem to be pushing Drifters hardest.

Hey, I'm barely people!
Honestly it would be very useful to me to be able to recall names/faces instead of continually forgetting them until it becomes socially unacceptable to keep asking.
I doubt I'll sign up anyway, but that social/logistics stuff actually sounds useful.

The reason we don't have sentient robots is because we don't know how to do that yet, not because we all decided it was or was not a good idea…
or did I miss a meeting again?

I presume eventually Apple will bring out a $3000 version, at which point they'll be everywhere.
In SF, the protagonists of novels started wearing their computers (00s) about two decades after they started using tablets (80s), so I think it's only a matter of time.

Today I learned: Black Mirror was a big hit in China (at least according to wikipedia). I don't know what this means but somehow it gives me some hope for humanity.

15 Million Merits is personal. It's about Brooker feeling subsumed by the nonsense pop culture he spent his whole career railing against.
I'm glad that he's started scripting his own stuff, he seems to have cheered up a bit too.

Black Mirror is ace.

Also my DVR is on the blink as of this weekend, so at some point I may be forced to give up and

I saw About Ellie, an interesting Iranian mystery that might feel better balanced in a culture where leaving your fiance is more of a big deal.

Monday What's On Tonight: unofficial British edition

welp, I actually watched it today. It's sort-of-adequate in its Saturday afternoon family watching timeslot, a bit like Agents of SHIELD.

I was thinking when he has demonically possessed. But he's like Simon, he could go either way.

On Abby's 'robotic' sexuality.
She's not robotic, she's just very matter of fact. She doesn't have any cultural baggage associated with sex, which makes sense for an adult character created out of a child's imagination. A lot of her being is just blank white space (we assumed, wiped blank by the storm) and now

I think that's exactly what it was.

He was good as a villain, actually.

Yeah, it's only B minus by Misfits standards, there's no need to take it personally. Personally I really enjoyed the ep, mostly because they managed to drag out Abby's amnesia over two seasons and then the final reveal actually surprised and interested me. We've had characters who were alternate versions of
