Thursday What's on tonight: UK freeview version:
Home Grown: Educating Yorkshire (9pm C4).   Peaky Blinders ep3 (9pm BBC2).
Films: Two films with interesting casts, unfortunately wasted in the case of 44 inch chest:Pride and Glory (11.35 film4)44 inch chest (2.10 am fri film4)

The worst for this is Transformers, where they intentionally lead the Decepticons into a populated area (twice).    It has a certain callous logic.

I don't know, it just struck me as appropriate to mention on a TV reviews site.   I'll tune in to see if it amuses.

Wednesday What's on tonight: unoffical UK freeview edition

I don't mind.   Better to go out strong than just go on treading water for ever.

I don't know if she's coming back.   She's basically playing the same character as in Green Wing and I like to imagine that character could pop up in any show.

I was interested how he kept bringing up other actors and performances that he'd used to inform his own stuff.   Rockwell just comes across as very cine-literate in general in this interview.

Good grief, I just looked up Clownhouse.   I had no idea.

I mostly liked the new ideas in HHG, and the dolphin song is good, but it never quite cohered into a good movie.   It just didn't seem anarchic and cynical enough, and ultimately it wasn't funny enough either.

Ask them to lend you a tenner?

Same deal as the English Lake District, only more so, I should think.

I avoided Emmy spoilers and then was too busy to watch anyway…

Tuesday What's on tonight: UK freeview version:

Howard is also a better DM.   He can do impressions.

You're going to regret asking.

I made a point of tuning in for Orphan Black (finally showing in the UK on Fridays, BBC3) after hearing good things, found it broadly enjoyable except for the Sarah Manning character's British (by way of transportation to Australia) accent.

Monday What's On Tonight: UK edition

(no WOTUK yesterday, I had a cold.   Back today, better than ever!

Home Grown:
Downton Abbey (9pm Sun ITV) New season, ep1.
By Any Means ep1 (9pm BBC1 Sunday).   Silly sounding extra-legal justice action.
Sound of Cinema: The Music That Made the Movies s1 ep2 (BBC4

I'm at the age where my first exposure to Bond was Moore/Dalton movies on TV.   I still vividly remember the kitchen fight in Living Daylights and Bond's not even in it!

"Strategic and Combat Homeland Law-enforcement and Ogling of Naked Guys."
