I think we just saw a good filmed version. Sir Patrick was just perfect.

Absolutely. It's such a pile when unworthy people do it (for the wrong reasons, usually) but when Sir Pat said it - wow!
I had no idea this existed until I caught the beginning of Richard II on PBS last night. I was forced to study this when I was pimply, and so many lines reechoed in my brain as Whishaw and Stewart and Kinnear were doing their stuff. I was knacked after a day's work, but stayed as long as I could, as this was some of…
That would be my main contender. If the song doesn't put you off, the toilet coda will stop any horizontal action stone dead.
Or: "until", followed by, "Move on to the third world."
I was and I wasn't expecting that ending. I was, because it made so much sense, and I wasn't because I didn't think the gang could pull it off. I had forgotten about Frank's money. The joke's on me.
I watched it recently and really enjoyed it, but the print was not good. It reminded me of "Deadwood" for some reason.
Metal Hurlant was even barmier, but great nevertheless.
I enjoyed this, apart from the discussion about whether Cap was a wanker for rescuing Ian or not. Too Green Arrow/Lanternish for a 21st century comic. Also, Cap took quite the beating, in every episode, yet still managed to smash critters in the mush whenever necessary. Actually, that's pretty cool.
Yes - Gene "got the flu bug" according to Stan, so Jack finished it off. As a kid I was delighted by this, and I really loved Gene Colan at the time. (In a Viking, manly sort of way.) That particular fight surpasses the Cap vs Batroc barney for my money.
George Harrison, Prince, Suzanne Vega - just a quick dip into a Googled list. All way better than "Never Let Me Down."
So, Bowie's worst period was when he had hits with "Let's Dance", "China Girl", "Modern Love", and "Loving the Alien." Is there a band around now that wouldn't do something drastic for just one song of similar calibre?
Well, obviously.
I'm going for sausage and Hitler, but mostly sausage.
The stunt guests really struggled, but the 3 regulars were completely on.
Sean Pegg?
Well said.
Richard Thompson is his own worst critic. "Small town" is great, as is the "Poor Will" song he didn't allow out in the wild for ages because of the (perfectly okay) vocals. He should just accept that he's brilliant and release absolutely everything. That would sort things out.
Yes, he is.
It's Pixar's best, which is saying something. It would be the best even if it ended after the first (mimed) half - hour. Every time I watch it I'm awe - struck, then I remember that there's a real - life Wall - E on Mars still doing its job many years after it was supposed to have given up. Opportunity even looks like…
