Never cared for the film but the book is hilarious. "18-16 and pulling away" was the highlight for me

I mostly agree with this, there's something off about the tone or pace of it or something. The action scenes looked great - especially in imax - but the story squeezed inbetween them was by-the-numbers and Waltz is wearing on me. Second watch would solidify my opinion but I'd put it above Quantum, below Casino and

It could be brilliant if they CGI young Bruce Willis in from a variety of Moonlighting episodes.

And is Meth Damon wearing a fat suit?

I've never - aside from Elizabethtown - thought Dunst was shit, but my God last night she was. She was so bad she took me completely out of the episode and I can't remember the last time that happened, if ever. It made me acutely aware I was watching actors, acting. And in her case, really badly. Rest of it was great.

I worshipped Heroin Girl, it was for me one of the best rock songs of the 90's - 2 and a half minutes of perfection.

I like that you asked about Copland considering the director didn't even want him in the movie (see Easy Riders)

I know nobody has posted for a week but has anyone else noticed the uncanny similarity between this and Thomas Ligotti's 'The Shadow, The Darkness'?
