Never said Caroline as the character shouldn't be affected by Elena dating Damon. I'm speaking as a viewer and that's what I originally posted about. No one said they're shocked that Caroline is processing it this way but I'm saying this show would have to acknowledge all the rape not just one (even the rape that

I don't want to sound like a tool but I have no interests in watching the brothers ptsd arc that seems to be going on. Not that I think they can't be tormented by things that were inflicted upon them but pass.

Yea agreed. Humanity free Elena can be a dick to the brothers for all I care but she was also a dick to people who she had no right to be a dick to. (i.e. Matt)

Your last part is utterly disgusting.

No, it doesn't matter. If you mind rape someone into feeling comfortable so you can have sex, that should be considered rape. Katherine did both of those things at least once to each brother therefore she has raped both brothers.

Feels way too soon. I wouldn't mind a platonic relationship strengthening over the next few episodes but there needs to be a more organic build to that lovey dovey status.

um…wut.

The point is she raped both (by using compulsion) just because Damon didn't care after being made aware of what was really going on doesn't mean it wasn't rape.

Didn't enjoy Sam making those racist comments (spare me the I'm too stupid to know I'm being offensive speech).

C+

In the beginning she kept it from him (and I'm assuming she was engaging in sexual activity) so I'm going to go ahead and say that she raped both brothers.

Yikes. I just don't believe in that mindset. I'm bothered by all rape/abuse that has been shown or hinted at on this show, whether it's done to the familiar characters, whether it's done to the random characters.

I wasn't sure whether to say Katherine raped Damon (since he knew about it right? unless before he knew she was doing what she was doing) but yes TVD wants to romantize these sociopaths. That can be a problem when some of their hideous actions include sexually abusing women (as far as the male vamps are concerned).

Also, I would go as far to say that Katherine also raped Stefan but they didn't show it in a horrific manner the way they did with Damon.

Damon did take her free will but I'm saying these characters have all done that. Not everyone did it and had sex with their victims but there's a couple that took their victims free will and physically abused said victims.

Both have sexually abused and tormented WOMEN (mainly their victims). No one is saying Caroline isn't justified in her hate of Damon. I'm just bringing up a different point that if we address one rape/abuse we should probably address them all.

Meant characters instead of cast. Not real life lol.

What's worse is that Stefan did actually know and he could have taken measures to prevent it.

Agreed but then also a case could be made that rippah Stefan also raped his victims (or sexually abused; which could have easily been inferred from some of those flashback scenes) too.

To defend Caroline, she deserves to feel the way she does (keeping in mind what Damon did to her) but I do wish she had clarity on some of the other monsters in this story too.
