I'm depressed all the time, but…
…this guy and Amy Lee make me feel like a glitter-coated My Little Pony.
Not big on Niven, but still intrigued
Looking forward to World of Ptavvs. Been wondering about this book since I was a little kid reading Barlowe's Guide to Extraterrestrials.
Damn, someone beat me to the lasagna. GARFIELD!!!
I always thought it was weird the way he pronounced diabetes. Threw me off. I still hesitate when I say that word now. Was more comfortable when he was into Oats and stealing cells from people in Antarctica.
Exploring the Mountains of Mars
I think their Total Recall musical was more emotionally involving, in a weird way. Tried to encapsulate the whole film with the Conan one, but TR was more a slice in time…
Speaking of using words as crutches; I leaned a bit heavily on the thoughs, there.
"Personified sea" reminds me of the plan behind The Scar.
I guess I'm wondering if it's as didactic as Iron Council, or if he uses words like "hugely" way too much. Minor problems for others I guess, but when I see easy words used too often it sort of bores the hell out of me.
Don't be shy
I wonder what would happen if they tried to make a 3D rendition of a 3D movie that had already been rendered into 3D. If you'd get like, 3D blackness. Like some sort of inky darkness that just reaches out of the screen and sucks out your guts through your navel.
*cough* proxy *cough*
They going to change the region blocks at all? Otherwise I don't care.
Missed Opportunity
I was thinking a cool feature for the DVD would be to randomly determine the beginning, then continue to randomly mix up segments until the end, so you might get Murdock beaten up by the biker gang, followed by Hannibal infiltrating the drug runners, and finally they shoot corrupt ranchers with…
I see why it's well-loved by a lot of people, but
I started out reading about the bugs and thinking it was funny and intriguing, promising an interesting psychological novel with some subjective and tripped out imagery, but that stopped when I saw the suggestion that the drug's debilitation was permanent, that you…
Get rid of the artists and you have today: blank canvases and shark corpses in glass boxes.
Carrion
This just has me wondering if you can still buy typewriters.
If you added a twist of Lemon to that party, you'd be on the money.
What a Country!
What is it with closely-cropped beards and bad comedy? I'm looking at you, Smirnov!
man…
Just finished reading a Conan comics omnibus, and was looking up the works of Buscema, Vallejo, and others. I guess I would have discovered this soon enough anyway. Franzetta's art had definite magic to it. I hope his name lives on through his work.
oops
If he lied to everyone about it then, sadly, it's a documentary.
Free Association Apparently Broke the Mold
I was originally going to scoff at the idea that there have been many images since Twin Peaks that even got close to the Black Lodge sequences and the general offbeat nature of Twin Peaks, but then I figured that even if no one tried to hit the nail on the head after that,…
I can see why Vic Morrow was recognized for his work in this episode
I don't know about laughable. Those highlighted scenes are near heartbreaking and this is the most I've ever seen of the show.
