I liked Reloaded a lot. I liked how it expanded the mythology, showed there were data-creatures that didn't conform to the monolithic machine view we saw in the fist film, and then did this weird, deepening toward the end with the architect that I absolutely loved. Wasn't a big fan of the dancing scene, some of the

I get the feeling that the reporters talking about South Sudan barely had an idea what was going on or why, or at least the context was never very well illuminated. There's a general human tendency to focus on specifics; when we talk about a mass of people in an area of the world very different than our own, it's just

I was going to say Red Right Hand was the first song of his I heard, but I guess you're right, everyone knows it. Songs in the Key of X, for me. When I heard one of the Murder Ballad songs, though, I didn't connect with it…  I guess I wanted something more in the tone of RRH. I responded to the desperate conspiracy

After watching it again I'm a lot less down on this movie. I still feel that For a Few Dollars More is my favorite by far, but I look now at GBU as a cool adventure story with interesting characters, Tuco, despite his list of crimes, being my favorite guy in there.

Watched it a few nights ago…  they DO have their own things they need to accomplish, but I feel they're emotionally invested in the war going on in a way that almost looks like a change of character, especially when they risk their lives to finish things, then Blondie's actions with what they find over the bridge.

Not as big a fan of you of OJW, but maybe I'm distracted by the politics behind it, which isn't a good enough reason on its own.

I have to say I love the first two movies made. Jedi bothered me with its muppets and furballs (And I say that even though I thought Yoda was great and grew up enjoying The Muppet Show), but the performances also seemed much more detached. Whatever you think of the acting, at least there was energy there in the first

Some of the dubbing was better than others. I know where you're coming from but knowing the history of Italian filmmaking at that time makes it a bit easier for me to get past it.

There are plenty of Western movies that sort of drop the ball as far as tension, but I really like this end duel too, although maybe he's saving that for people to discover on their own. Good call.

I guess I need to see it again, but I felt it wasn't so much that the Civil War scenes didn't work because they were Civil War scenes; it was more that at that point in the movie I was expecting things to gain much more momentum than they did. It was distracting to me too, but felt like a side plot when the movie

Only saw For a Few Dollars More this year. I like to think of myself as a fan of Westerns but I haven't seen a ton; I only know that I tend to like stuff made from the 60's onward, just because they're grittier and less simple-minded, to be brutal in a forum known for its politeness.

Remember, kids: masturbation is evil. Feel guilty when you have fantasies, lest you betray all that western civilization has achieved. Bury them deep down, and pretend you like things you don't to make the rest of us feel comfortable.

Is it time to re-assess Blair Witch, or was it just an artifact of its time?

Lãrry the Cable Güy, Jèff Foxworthy, Bill Engváll, and Rôn White. Sorry, took time to translate.

Are we not supposed to like Ghostbusters now? Mother fucker! This is what I get for not figuring out this RSS crap.

Can I borrow everybody's iPhone?

It's only a matter of time before "pointy-headed douchebags" will realize that Di Paolo's a nice guy.

Good to know male fantasies are still being catered to.

New CGI Yoda still looks a bit exhausted after that stroke.

The story I read, which I guess was an origin story, was what I was keying off of. Were they written in no discernible order, then re-ordered when put into collections? That might explain it.
