Less machoism and more nuance ends up having better storytelling. Who would've thought?

What's been the saddest thing about this season, from my perspective, is feeling like what's going on with Dexter barely even matters, as if the writers have been trying to elevate the other characters to such an extent that they rival MCH in actual screen-time on the show named after his own character.
